PanU has not modified its recommendations for presenters at this time. Note that 17 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands currently fail to meet #3 and consequently we do not recommend presenting at cons in those locales regardless of safety measures.
If you're a presenter who is or was scheduled at @animecentral we'd like to hear from you. If you've changed your mind about presenting or otherwise experienced a negative impact from recent policy changes feel free to share your story and experience. #Acen2022#animecentral
The #Otakon2022 Workshop and Panel application deadline has been set!
Get those applications in by APRIL 30!

it pays for fan conventions to attract & retain good panelists. Throw them a badge, let them have a soda and some chips from the green room, treat them like valuable team members, because they are. (a lot of cons haven't realized this)
We understand the concerns many people have about the Omicron variant and continue to monitor the situation. Our existing reccoemndation for presenters remains in place at this time and we hope that all attendees take pains to follow all safety protocols at events this month.
Reminder that PanU continues to recommend presenters attend cons only with a general mask requirement and that take place in a state whose eligible population has hit a vax rate of 60% for first dose. MAGFest is showing that meeting those thresholds can be normal. #MaskUp
We happily announce that, in accordance with CDC guidelines, we are requiring vaccinations and face coverings for Super MAGFest 2022. Read our full policy at https://t.co/4Tbm3CH2NA as it answers many questions you might have.
Let’s f-ckin’ party, but let’s stay safe doing it.💙
PanU continues to reccomend that presenters not submit to or perform at conventions unless they are:
1) Fully vaccinated
2) The con has a mandatory mask policy
3) The jurisdiction where the con happens has at least 60% first dose received of its vax eligible population
Effective July 1st We've updated our presenter recommendation during Covid. In short, don't present unless:
1.) You Are Vaccinated
2.) The Con Requires Masks in Public Areas
3.) State where con is at 60%+ vaccine rate day of the con.

It's clear that progress on a vaccine does not equal a safe environment for the start of 2021. Because of this, PanU is extending its recommendation that presenters not submit to--or attend--in person events through the first quarter of the year (2021/03/31).

Due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19, PanU is recommending presenters not submit to--or attend-- in person events for the remainder of 2020. Our page will cease sharing open submission forms, including from PanU certified cons, for the safety of our constituents.
@Anime_USA We noticed the switch from reimbursement to--presumably--up front badge for approved panelists. Is there something in place to cover potential panelists who already registered prior to this going live?
We are beyond pained to announce the cancellation of #Otakon2020.
