Forest land worth several hundred crores is being encroached under the patronage of Rekha Gupta Govt.
Under the guise of loudly playing out DJs,behind these illegal green/blue tin sheet walls, trees are being cut illegally, illegal walls are being erected overnight to encroach forest lands worth hundreds of crores.
At Chhattarpur 100 ft road & 60 Ft road near Shamshan Ghat , builder mafia is active under political patronage. After development of few luxury malls in this area, the greed of politicians is growing like wild fire.
This is at the cost of ur lungs. BJP Govt gives bhashan on pollution, “ek ped Maa ke naam , but in reality, thousands of trees are being illegally cut in this forest area.
Environment & Forest Dept under Minister @mssirsa is responsible for protesting forests but it appears to be part of criminal conspiracy to loot forest land.
All agencies are sitting quite - @DelhiPolice @MCD_Delhi @CMODelhi @LtGovDelhi
Today had a horrible experience with Indigo Airlines. My flight was scheduled from Delhi to Guwahati on flight no 6E 2316 at 17.30 hrs. I reached the airport at 15.00 hours and was waiting for check-in at gate no 22 as per the flight itinerary. But all of a sudden the gate number was changed to 20 without any prior information and I missed the flight. I along with many passengers reached the gate twenty minutes before departure but we were not allowed to board the flight. In addition the behaviour of the ground staff was so rude that it literally was a hard time for all of https://t.co/XDi8cFYMU3 me many other passengers also missed the flight because the airlines failed to inform the passengers. On approaching the help desk the airlines made the passengers pay an extra amount of Rs 4,500 to Rs 7,500 per passenger for rescheduling their seats on the next day flight to their planned destinations. This is unacceptable and such exploitation of the innocent passengers unfolds the hideous side of the Indigo airlines which is known for its service and punctual flight timings. I didn’t expect such unprofessional attitude from indigo airlines.

The IIT story people know is software, campuses, and startups. The quieter one is this: relapsed blood-cancer patients in India no longer have to fly west for CAR-T / pay ~₹4 crore. IIT Bombay designed NexCAR19. Tata Memorial trialled it. CDSCO approved it.
Standard oncology relies heavily on imported drugs and protocols, a team at IIT Bombay (led by Prof. Rahul Purwar, alongside researchers Alka Dwivedi and Atharva Karulkar) spent over a decade developing India’s 1st indigenous CAR-T cell therapy: NexCAR19 (actalycabtagene autoleucel).
In partnership with Tata Memorial Centre (led clinically by Dr. Hasmukh Jain and Dr. Gaurav Narula) and spun off as ImmunoACT, the therapy moved from academic labs to clinical trials, ultimately securing CDSCO regulatory approval in Oct 2023.
What the Science Actually Does....
For patients with relapsed / refractory B-cell blood cancers (such as B-cell lymphomas and B-ALL, age 15+), doctors extract the patient's own T-cells via leukapheresis. The lab uses a viral vector to genetically engineer these cells to express a Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) targeting the CD19 protein on cancerous B-cells, expand them, and infuse them back into the patient as a targeted living treatment.
Commercial US CD19 CAR-Ts (like Kymriah or Yescarta) used murine (mouse-derived) scFv binding domains, which carry immunogenicity concerns. The IIT Bombay team engineered a humanized CD19-directed construct.
In clinical studies, ImmunoACT reported a favorable tolerability profile with lower rates of severe high-grade Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS) and little / no high-grade ICANS in the registrational studies, though mild-to-moderate CRS remains a common expected immune response.
Western list prices for CD19 CAR-T therapies run upwards of $400,000 (~₹3.8+ Crore) per patient. NexCAR19's product price was launched in the ₹30-40 Lakh range, ~1/10th the US list price.
NexCAR19 is not a universal cure, nor does it replace frontline chemotherapy / bone marrow transplants for all cancers. It is approved specifically for difficult, relapsed CD19-positive B-cell malignancies where prior standard lines of therapy have failed.
However, as India's 1st homegrown approved CAR-T therapy, it is a landmark translational achievement: taking advanced synthetic biology out of an academic lab, passing multi-center clinical trials at Tata Memorial, and offering Indian patients access to advanced cell-and-gene therapy at home at ~10% of Western list prices.

Genuine Question:
Enormous effort goes into Aadhaar - biometrics & linkages. The infra for easy verification. Ability to view and change data. Mobile number connected. All good.
So, why not simply add just two more fields to Aadhaar?
a) Citizenship - Indian or Not
b) Residence Address (Verified)
And then that 12-digit number can be your id for voting, paying tax and any other dealings with government. No need of PAN or Voter Id. And one-shot proof for passport.
What am I missing here?

Mastermind of 650 Cr Health Scam has come back from USA and surrendered before ACB.
This has happened after ACB filed the Chargesheet and ACB Cheif Vikramjeet Singh has been transferred out of Delhi.
Why is ED not investigating the money trail of 650 cr which was paid by Delhi Govt to suspected shell companies ?
They has ED not arrested these accused ?

On Indigo yesterday, the flight was empty! Entire rows were empty.
But @IndiGo6E still gave me a middle seat because I hadn't paid for a seat.
Why are corporations like this?
He comes from a small village in Kasaragod, Kerala. In 2016, he was selected for IISER Mohali but couldn't afford to make the move. He eventually studied engineering at Government College of Engineering, Kannur.
Last week he released Laya, an open-source AI model that challenged TypeSafe’s Jev on speed and on published decision-making scores.
This is the story of Nandakishor M and how he built Laya.
His father was a physician in Chennai who spent his career fighting infectious diseases.
He was in and out of hospital for a failing heart, picked up a bug resistant to almost every antibiotic, and died of complications from sepsis.
A year later, his son started a company to build a new antibiotic.
His name is Anand Anandkumar, and he is not a doctor. In 2007 he had co-founded Cellworks, a company that simulated cancer biology on computers. Bugworks was spun out of it, and formally founded in 2014 in Bengaluru with Santanu Datta, Bala Subramanian and Shahul Hameed.
The problem they took on is one most of the pharmaceutical world had stopped working on. Drug-resistant infections kill nearly 60,000 newborns in India every year. By 2050 they are projected to kill around 10 million people a year worldwide. No genuinely new broad-spectrum antibiotic has reached patients in close to five decades.
Most antibiotics attack bacteria at a single point, which is exactly why bacteria escape them. Mutate that one target and the drug is useless. Many bacteria also carry pumps that push the drug straight back out before it can work.
Bugworks built a compound, BWC0977, that hits two targets at once and is designed to slip past those pumps. It works against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, and against pathogens on biothreat lists.
In 2016 they became only the second company ever to apply to CARB-X, the US-backed fund for antibiotic development. In 2017 they became the first company in Asia to win it, with backing that ran past $10 million.
The first human dose was given in November 2021, in Australia. The results, published in Nature Communications in 2025, showed the drug was safe and well tolerated. GARDP has since committed up to $20 million to carry it through Phase 2 and Phase 3, with a written commitment that India gets early access. Bugworks has raised roughly $43 million in total.
In a hospital ward in Chennai, there was almost nothing left on the shelf that still worked.
Anandkumar has spent the last twelve years since trying to put something back there that works reliably.

Why does @IndiGo6E feel like it's running a scam always. At every step it just feels like they are trying to fleece you of money. Did web check in several hours before flight, selected auto assign seat option. Didn't get boarding pass. Now right before flight time it says for have to web check in again and if you're doing webcheckin within 3 hours of flight you have to select a paid seat or won't go ahead. What nonsense. If you call customer care you have to hold minimum 10 mins before getting through. And then they are also like can't help. Are you just trying to cause BP issues @IndiGo6E ?

In the global telecommunications supply chain, building physical cellular base stations is an elite club.
For decades, telecom giants like Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung have dominated public radio access networks (RAN) worldwide.
While India became one of the largest mobile data markets on Earth, virtually all underlying macro telecom hardware and baseband silicon relied on foreign design IP.
The Sahyadri base station represents an indigenous technical milestone in this space, specifically targeting tactical, private, and localized cellular networks.
Before Signaltron built the system hardware, founder Himamshu Khasnis co-founded Signalchip in BLR in 2010 (alongside Rajesh Mundhada) to address the core component of cellular design: silicon.
Unveiled in 2019, the Agumbe chipset family was presented as India’s 1st indigenous chipset family for 4G/LTE and 5G NR modems. The portfolio includes the SCBM3412 (a single-chip LTE modem with integrated baseband and RF), the SCBM3404 (a 4×4 LTE baseband chip), the SCRF3402 (an LTE transceiver), and the SCRF4502 (a 2×2 transceiver for 5G NR).
Operating as a fabless semiconductor company, Signalchip designed the microarchitecture, baseband signal processing engines, and RF layout in BLR, while contracting commercial foundries overseas for physical wafer fabrication.
In 2019, Khasnis set up Signaltron as a system-level venture to build complete field-ready network hardware powered by this silicon.
Unlike conventional macro networks that require separate, rack-mounted Baseband Units (BBUs), Remote Radio Heads (RRHs), and external cooling infrastructure, Signaltron integrated these components into an outdoor small-cell enclosure.
Weighing 7-8 kg in a ruggedized, IP67-rated weatherproof housing, the Sahyadri 4G Network in a Box consolidates the traditional stack into a compact footprint.
Driven by the SCBM3412 SoC for radio frequency and baseband processing, the enclosure executes the integrated NIB software stack, combining the Radio Access Network (RAN) with embedded Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) functions on the box.
It can be wired into a standard backhaul network / operated in standalone NIB mode, creating a local 4G communication bubble without requiring a live external backhaul link.
While the Sahyadri platform demonstrates end to end indigenous design capability, its real world rollouts target specific tactical niches rather than replacing mainstream public macro networks:
- The Indian Army procured 20 units of the Sahyadri 4G NIB via the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) following technical field trials. This marked the 1st induction of a complex cellular system running on Indian-designed silicon.
- The platform has seen vendor-reported pilot deployments on BSNL's network for off-grid rural connectivity.
- Signaltron later claimed Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) type certification for a Sahyadri base station running on Agumbe silicon, highlighting it as a regulatory milestone for a telecom platform driven by an Indian-designed chip.
Major multinational vendors continue to supply the vast majority of India's commercial macro-cellular infrastructure. Signaltron's deployment operates as a domestic design-to-box success within private LTE, tactical military communication, and small-cell niches.

When she started letting schoolchildren build satellites, senior Indian scientists told her to stop.
"A couple of very senior well-known scientists in the country told me to stop spoiling children's futures and get them to focus on studying first."
Their satellites have since flown on rockets belonging to both NASA and ISRO.
Her name is Dr Srimathy Kesan. She runs Space Kidz India, a Chennai aerospace company registered in 2016 with around 47 people on its rolls today, built on one unusual principle: students should not merely study space, they should build the things that go there.
The first person she recruited was a college student who had come to interview her for his magazine. His name was Rifath Sharook, from Pallapatti, a village in Karur district. By the end of that conversation both of them understood he was in the wrong course.
After the Indian scientists said no, Kesan wrote to NASA. Jaydeep Mukherjee, who directs the Florida Space Grant Consortium, told her to stop aiming straight for orbit and start with stratospheric balloons instead.
So they did. Then Rifath's team entered a NASA student competition with something that weighed 64 grams, built from 3D printed carbon fibre. They nicknamed it the gulab jamun, because that is what they were eating when someone asked why a satellite could not be that small.
They named it KalamSat. On 22 June 2017 NASA flew it on a sounding rocket from Wallops Island, the first time NASA had flown an experiment built by an Indian student.
ISRO, which Kesan had been pitching without success for years, called soon after. She was given six days to build and deliver.
On 24 January 2019, PSLV-C44 placed KalamSat V2 in orbit at 1.26 kilograms, the lightest satellite ever put there. Then came AzaadiSAT and AzaadiSAT-2, assembled from payloads made by 750 schoolgirls from some of the remotest villages in India.
Space Kidz India has now flown 19 balloon missions, three suborbital payloads and five orbital satellites. Kesan holds ambassador status at NASA, the European Space Agency and Russia's Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre, the only Indian to do so.
The college student who turned up to interview her for a magazine is now the lead scientist at Space Kidz India.
