That may be true sometimes but that is certainly not the case in my relationship. I’ve been begging for connection, I have been begging to be seen, I’ve been begging for affection, I’ve been begging for communication. I still take care of the home, the kids, I still do the laundry and the dishes and I do all of the legal and administrative paperwork, event handling, marketing for our business but ever since we opened our bar, my husband has sought validation from everything there including the alcohol and the guests and I feel like our marriage and our life and our family is in the rearview mirror. And all of the tasks that I have to do to make sure that we’re compliant legally, aren’t the “fun” things to do so when I have to keep asking for them to be done so that we maintain what we have, I’m told that I am bitching all the time… and what I’m asking for is communication and for things to be done to a standard so we don’t lose everything. And I am devastated because I love him with my whole heart but he could literally look me in the face today and say “I did love you before you started bitching at me.” And then he auto corrected but the words were already out of his mouth. I’m devastated and I don’t know what to do.

A letter to our Senators and Representatives.

Gentlemen,
I am a 64-year-old American that has worked and paid taxes since I was fifteen years old. I have never taken any type of handout from anyone, including the US government. After 49 years of working, I have decided to retire, at least partially. According to you, it’s “early  retirement”.  I don’t consider 49 years of working, “early”. Had I been a government employee I could have retired 29 years ago, or had I been a senator, I could have retired, what… 39 years ago? with full retirement pay and free healthcare for life.
Because I retired before reaching my “full retirement age”; which is decided by you, I have a reduced Social Security payment, which you refer to as a “benefit”. I see it as a return of my money that I have paid in for 49 years. This reduced payment is not enough to live on. The payment at full retirement age is not enough to live on. I have to work some, to supplement my income, but low and behold I can only earn a certain amount (which is still not enough to live on) and then you start docking my Social Security.
Apparently, I earned too much at some point because I just received a letter from the SSA stating that my next three SSA payments will be cut in half, and the real kicker is I still “owe” $38.00. I can’t work more to make up the difference because I will only be further penalized.
It is extremely infuriating, as an American citizen, to be treated this way. Look at the amount of fraud, look at the number of people, many of whom have never paid a dime into the system, receiving free benefits from the government. Look at the billions paid to and on behalf of illegal immigrants. All I want is the money I paid in and a chance to retire in peace.

I would guess there is some USAID adjacent money in their accounts now, applauding them for supporting being demonically possessed and deliberately and slowly killing your own children. She posted a Peanuts cartoon. The sign said:

“If you fear MAGA will take away women’s rights, then you should learn about Sharia law.”

Maggie wrote two words above it:

“Not wrong.”

That is all she did!

CAIR - a foreign-designated terrorist group - came after her for it. They ran a major pressure campaign - they demanded this mom of three and school board member delete the post, apologize, or resign.

We were not there.

They packed her school-board meeting. CAIR Maryland jihadi director Zainab Chaudry told the room Maggie’s statement was “not an apology” and demanded more from her....

This is the same Chaudry who, after Hamas’s October 7 massacre, posted that murdered Israeli babies were “fake” and compared Israel to the Nazis.

Maryland put her on a hate-crime commission, suspended her, put her back, then took CAIR’s seat away.

That is who and what they sent to scold a school-board mother over a cartoon.

Then they made Maggie visit a mosque for “re-education.”

Then local media (who sided with CAIR) filmed her apologizing and called it their big story.

We left her alone.

Not anymore.

I would say to take the path of healing ❤️‍🩹 instead of trying to caulk everything with cotton candy. I would say, you will get through this. I would say don’t move forward with the October 21 plan. And then I would remind myself that I’ve done good things, I am a good mom…and I am strong.
