turning 30 today
the biggest lesson from my twenties is to never mistake your current trajectory for your destination
no matter how fucked you think you are, a few years can rewrite everything
keep going
Trading is funny
For the learning, backtesting, journalling and analysing trades you need to be a hustler
Working hours and hours a day, no breaks, super disciplined
Then when you actually TRADE - you need to be a lazy mf
Literally only entering a trade when it makes no sense NOT TO
A lot of guys can’t handle this balancing act which is why they stay unprofitable
They either are lazy in their trades but are lazy in the other work they need to be doing too
Or are super active in their other work but bring that same mindset into their trading and end up over-trading like crazy
You need BALANCE
as a man, power comes from financial stability, disciplined silence, strong connections, and the ability to stand alone. money gives you options. silence gives you control. connections open doors. solitude teaches you who you are without applause. build all four, and you become difficult to manipulate.
