I was there when we ran IV spreads like 30/0/30/30/30/31 just to get the right Hidden Power and minimize foul play damages, willingly running suboptimal stats for one specific calc.

We called it optimisation but It was actually suffering tbh 😂

Hidden Power is long gone, but in 2 weeks with Pokémon Champions even the last piece of that legacy system disappears.

343/Halo Studios couldn't even add server selection in Infinite and fucked the game for everyone not American, a simple request for a lot of people. When it got done through back ends and files, we got called bad actors and threatened with bans.
