“Posterity will judge our generation for entertaining the faux comparison between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as though it were a genuine rivalry.”
🎉🥳A big milestone for me: my first published research paper is officially out in BMC Infectious Diseases!
Our study, "Modeling antiretroviral therapy adherence among people living with HIV: a cross-sectional study at Pantang Hospital, Ghana," looked at ART adherence among 151 people living with HIV receiving care at Pantang Hospital, Accra.
A few things that stood out to us:
🔹 Non-adherence behaviors were common — 66.9% of participants reported forgetting to take their medication, 64.2% reported carelessness, and a striking 85.4% admitted to stopping medication when they felt worse.
🔹 The biggest red flags for non-adherence were missing medication over the weekend and missing doses 6–10 times in a week.
Beyond the numbers, this reminds us that adherence isn't just a clinical checkbox, it's shaped by real everyday human behavior.
We hope this data helps inform more targeted interventions to support people living with HIV in Ghana.
Grateful to my co-authors Irene Kretchy, Kwabena FM Opuni, PhD, PMP, MRSC Eric Nyarko, BSc, MPhil, PhD, MPH, Seth Kwabena Amponsah for the guidance through this journey, and excited for more research to come.

A doctor DM’d me: “My boss rewards us with Malta Guinness on ward rounds… surprise him” 😂
So I pulled up. THE BOSS met the ambassador. 🍾
He said it himself - Malta Guinness, best drink PERIOD.
Plus MgSO4 donated for pregnant mothers 🙏🏾 Thank you Maternity Unit, GARH! ❤️
Wait for his reaction… 👀 #MaltaGuinnessGhana
Dome-Kwabenya residents deserve better. Kwabenya–Brekusu, Haatso–Ecomog, Old Ashongman–Abokobi, and Musuku–Ashongman roads are all in deplorable condition. There isn’t even a 1km stretch of good road in the constituency. Fix our roads now! #FixDomeKwabenyaRoads
I hear local voice agents are back in fashion 👀 Here is a demo of the Khaya AI assistant in action. It can do free flowing conversations - no preprogramming required.

1. wherever you are, there’s a 1-in-5 chance the chocolate you eat today was made with cocoa grown in Ghana. if you’re Swiss, the odds may be even higher.
2. over 60% of Ghana’s surface water sources are contaminated by pollutants from galamsey (illegal gold mining), including mercury, a colourless toxin that can sit in water unnoticed.
3. cocoa farms are also being swallowed by galamsey, turning food land into poisoned pits.
4. so even if you don’t live in Ghana, and you’ve never set foot there, you still have a real chance of being touched by galamsey through chocolate.
5. this is a global health risk hiding in plain sight.
6. if you’ve already had your valentine’s chocolate, don’t panic. but do something: demand traceable cocoa, pressure brands to fund clean-up and enforcement, and talk about galamsey like the global threat it is.

Trotro drivers and mate can misbehave to everyone on the street but immediately they see a child in school uniform become so sweet.
You will rush to a troski that stopped and the mate will say "ay3 ma" only to see him signal to a school boy or girl meters away to hurry up and come sit
