These lines can be converted to built platforms and start local service from Kanjurmarg to Karjat and Kasara which will reduce passenger rush in trains emerging from CST and parel.

Today Kanjurmarg station is main connecting point on Central Railway for going to Powai, Seepz, IIT Mumbai and for Navi Mumbai travel by road, but has only two platforms.
