@sadotthegamer Annapurna's whole model is funding small teams cheaply. Perpetual licensing is a smart legal move but it isn’t proof of a blockbuster budget. No number really exists for it and every actual data point show that it is indie scale and not triple A
@Koitoyuu37 If you paid attention to that review, he stated that it was the frequency that was the issue and not solely the hints through dialogue itself. It’s adding insult to injury when the game already heavily relies on insulting the player’s intelligence with hand holding accessibility.
@sadotthegamer He was being called Shill Up if I remember correctly for liking Mixtape because it was such a bizarre game to be praising despite having no redeeming features. I think the point is you wouldn’t except to have it in a triple A game like Wolverine. Mixtape is very low budgeted.
@sadotthegamer Mixtape is an industry plant game, he was most certainly paid to praise it. Despite that, they’re two separately distinct games. It doesn’t negate the fact that Wolverine is heavily hand held to the point it insults player’s intelligence.
@Sir_Dammed You're arguing “immersion” breaks because a woman beats up three guys in a franchise where you survive outrageous set pieces. Suspension of disbelief IS the entire point of fiction. The immersion was never the issue. Pick a lane.
@yuya2welve@noxyDog@Dexerto I disagree, I think it creates fresh gameplay and we’re not doing the exact same thing. Now I have to find another vehicle, fight, hide, escape on foot. It also gives you an oppurnity to repair your vehicle at gas stations. To each their own, let’s agree to disagree.
@yuya2welve@noxyDog@Dexerto Then improvise. A 10 second animation is nothing, if anything a worthy inclusion to keep player choice fresh considering everyone complains the game is exactly the same if they don’t change anything. Or they complain when they implement different mechanics. I guess there’s no win
@NexelGTA It’s for engagement and rage baiting. No one with a sane mind thinks something is a failure when they don’t have the full deck of cards on the table.
@crotfs Every game has vignette options to turn off or on, if I’m not mistaken? It’s the same thing when you can toggle on/off depth of field, chromatic abberation, etc.
@DJKlose1@TimoTweetss What the fuck are you on about? How is this design specifically garbage and in what way it it “woke.” Explain that clearly to me instead of just spouting straight nonsense.
