@const_reborn Appreciate the detailed thought process and sharing your ideas. I don’t think parting shots at passive investors or institutional are necessary. I think positive exchanges between different views and ideas can lead to the best outcomes.
👉More than anything, we’d like to see a reliable, structured process for chain updates that includes time for industry feedback and relevant business planning. 👈🏼 $TAO
The following analysis is a byproduct of lack of process within the ecosystem that leaves business builders limited notice or ability to properly plan, assess risk, and execute.
We are responding rapidly to the code we’ve seen thus far, in the forum where we see it being discussed, as it is unclear what the proposed release timelines are for the Root Reborn update.
More than anything, we’d like to see a reliable, structured process for chain updates that includes time for industry feedback and relevant business planning.
@YumaGroup Agree with a lot of this. Especially ‘More than anything, we’d like to see a reliable, structured process for chain updates that includes time for industry feedback and relevant business planning.’
You make some strong points. Root allocators choose to be lower on the risk curve. Bond like. This is intentional. Still allows you to create a basket of risk with subnets if you choose. I don’t like the thought of validators allocating emissions. Maybe if there were some neutral metrics that decided. As unable to be manipulated as possible. Not sure, but the root reborn idea needs to be refined or dropped I think. Some may just choose no staking at all.
I am reminded of Elons engineering philosophy. Something like ‘the best part is the one that doesn’t exist’. Can’t keep adding layers of complexity. Simplify.
@taodaily_io Appreciate this write up. I think Striker made strong points. Also Yuma. Any changes should be thoroughly discussed and feedback taken into account.
@_The_Prophet__ “Workers need upside in the productivity they create.”
Beyond AI, this has been a real problem for a long time. I think AI is just amplifying it even more. For most, this doesn’t exist.
