A new session means the return of Monday afternoon e-petition debates.
Thanks to @GideonJAmos and @DrScottArthurMP for being the most enthusiastic advocates of this democratic forum.
Congratulations to @GideonJAmos and @DrScottArthurMP for winning the ‘Vox Petentium, Vox Dei” award, for contributing to the most e-petition debates in the last session.

Thanks to @politico for mentioning our awards last week.
Here's one of our favourites @RhonddaBryant and other Ministers for the pithiest responses to Written Questions
Parliament may enjoy a late start on Monday, but a late starts make for a late finish.
The end of day adjournment debate begins at 10pm on a Monday, a time not renowned for it's popularity of attendance.
But, @simonlightwood manned the darkened despatch box 5 times during the last session. We noticed you were there, even if others might have wondered where you were.
Special mention to those who provided words that had to be looked up:
@LewisAtkinson with ‘'gimcracks'
@BrianMathewLD with ‘charabanc'
and not forgetting
@MartinRhodes21 for the sole use of the word 'defecated'
Other notable contributions were
@PeterPrinsley with a great set of:
'occluding', 'syringing', 'olfactory' and 'pyramidal'
@ChrisMcDonaldMP in his element with:
'germanium', 'neodymium' and 'quiescent'
@wesstreeting with a the glorious combination of:
'cockroach', 'brassiere', 'resenting' and 'flouncing'
@dawnbutlerbrent for the unique pairing of:
'celibates' and 'fantasist'
@johnmcdonnellMP (acting as a Privy Councillor) also informed the Commons in November 2025 that King Charles had signified Kings Consent to the Planning and Infrastructure bill.
This was either a hitherto unknown and unexpected readmission to the inner circle of Government or an expression of the meaningless of certain parliamentary procedures…

One of the great privileges of junior ministerial office: being hauled into Parliament with two hours’ notice to defend someone else’s disaster, on a subject you probably woke up knowing absolutely nothing about.
@HFalconerMP, the 16 times you performed this duty has not gone unnoticed.
Honourable mentions to @IanByrneMP for his 22 rebellions, @Imran_HussainMP for 21 rebellions, and @BellRibeiroAddy for her 20 rebellions. May the whips continue to dread the sight of you.
@RichardBurgon come strongly out of the gate, rebelling on the 2-child policy amendment, one of the first votes of the session, earning himself a 7 month withdrawal of the whip.
On being reinstated, he behaved for a month and a half, before rebelling another 24 times, bookending the year nicely with a rebellion on one the final votes of year, voting to refer the Prime Minister to the Privileges Committee.
