Having a great time at #EPWeek2024 Open House in Byron today! City of London, Ontario - Municipal Government Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit and learn about Paramedics!
Excited to be part of @FanshaweMedics and @FanshaweCollege Mass Casualty training day, a great opportunity for allied agencies and students to come together to train.
We are at Fanshawe College today for a training MCI event with all our allied partners. Training together to help keep us all prepared. Thank you Fanshawe College for hosting! More pictures to come.
Proud of our FTO Paramedics Jack and Jadon for presenting separately at the annual Pediatric Emergency Medicine Refresher Day. Thanks to all the Paramedics who came out to this great day of learning.
@PierrePoilievre 10+ years? So like when your party had a federal mandate? And in a province where your provincial party still holds a mandate? …. Tell me again how this is “Trudeaus” fault
@kyletoc_o @EthanHPara You are meant to learn through the initial scenarios. Stress exists in real life. We build up competence and confidence through thoughtful simulation and practice. We then place pressure by adding challenging worst case scenarios. Am i going to 10 failures unlikely but maybe
@BakerMarbake85@PierrePoilievre The international nurses probably met all the requirements of employment including updated vaccinations. As healthcare employees we have been subject to mandatory vaccinations and communicable disease screenings for many years. 🤷♂️
@HandtevyMD Why we don’t have TXA in Ontario at the pre-hospital level blows my mind. Multiple studies show that it is beneficial in multiple settings and many agree that it is most beneficial when given early in the injury pattern @ONThealth@OntParamedic
@BC_EHS@BC_EHS leading the charge in Canada again…. We all need to look closely at BC’s example at modernizing pre hospital care and hospital diversion criteria
@JeffreyBilyk Great points! Modernization of the system, and some user accountability needs to be implemented! Alternative destinations, 9-1-1 diversions, the ability for ED’s (when reasonable) to say NO and divert to secondary locations. Healthcare access needs to balance with appropriate use
