TODAY @ 7PM: Palestinian and Indigenous solidarity
Colonialism takes many forms and expressions, but the commonalities of displacement and oppression create common bonds of understanding and solidarity.
Today is Red Dress Day. It is the day that we honour the #Indigenous women and girls who have been murdered or gone missing -- the people that Canadian society and the police have failed. We call on all Canadians to recognize the #injustice behind #MMIWG2S.
This book launch is the first phase of a larger collaboration. The goals are to make Canadian scholarship pertaining to Indigenous issues and decolonization available to scholars and university students in China, to foster collaboration between academics in Canada and China.
