My former HS athletes and my former Pro athletes have one major thing in common.
They both wish they had done more to take advantage of their opportunities.
Heard this several times over the years but 3 times in the past 2 days.
I officiated 10 basketball games this past weekend and I’m here to still tell you:
1. “Over the back” is not a call.
2. “Call it both ways” is not going to help.
3. You still cannot call timeout during live play when you don’t have the basketball.

All are decided by place not time. A stop watch was not needed for any of them.
