BREAKING🚨 Pro-Palestine (anti-genocide) protesters have lit up the Israeli Embassy in Mexico…🇲🇽
This was in response to the IDF targeting a refugee camp in Rafah…🇵🇸

Without sleep, our empathy fades. Real stories: “I’m happy when a patient leaves against medical advice, so I have less patients to round on.” It looks like, “Feeling anger towards a patient who presented to the ER at 3 am while on a 24-hour call.”
you can’t reason with someone who’s already decided to misunderstand you. even if your questions and explanations are kind and logical, they find ways to flip narratives & place blame on you. some people are unreasonable on purpose so they don’t have to be emotionally vulnerable
One of the most profound things I read in my original journey to ADHD diagnosis was what Dr. Ned Hallowell calls “the cough drop sign” in the book, Driven To Distraction.
I’d never felt more seen before reading this quote.
It comes from one of Hallowell’s ADHD patients:
if you let someone know for the first time how their actions have hurt or upset you, and the conversation ends with you apologising for doing this. it is a clear sign you are dealing with someone who is about to make your life very difficult.
It's one thing when you're in pain yourself. It's a completely different thing when your loved one is in pain and you can't do anything about it.
That's what made it so painful when Qasim called his uncle Husayn but Husayn couldn't do anything for him.
@paigebnelson @erinhahn_author @grundercats My son’s friend was in the hallway when they had a lockdown drill, and was locked out. My son still has nightmares about him screaming and banging on the door, and that was just a drill. 4th grade. My son stopped going to the bathroom at school, afraid he would be locked out.
We lost all the students in yesterday’s attack and left with empty class. Please don’t write about Afghan’s pride & resilience anymore. We are tired, exhausted, shattered & devastated. Afghans need a break. Afghans need peace. Afghans need a normal, equal & poor but hopeful life.
