Parent power has provided us the opportunity to meet a community of like minded, passionate parents who have built a network of support using our collective power to win campaigns that are important to us! And we have won Campaign of the Year from @SLondonCitizens
@ParentpowerSL it all started with relational one to one's and listening. The results from listening fired us into action. We built relationships. Voices that felt like they were in the dark, met, and hope was created. Actions followed. Change happened and still is ππ½ππ½ππ½
@KCLWP@citizensuk@ParentpowerSL fantatic news! The ripple effects still continue as parents organise and take actions together for changes that benefit them, their families, and their communities. People before programmes.
π@ParentpowerSL, a project established by @KCLWP & @CitizensUK to address educational inequality & social justice issues in Lambeth & Southwark, has won @LondonHigher's award for outstanding contribution to the local London communityπ

@CitizensUK Parents @ParentpowerSL strongly support the manifesto asks, especially around Mental Health, Work & Wages, Housing & Homelessness, Pathways to Citizenship, Racial Equality in Education, Climate change. What will our parliamentary candidates commit to? π€
@simplybeingMIMI@KCLWP@RealistBev The beauty of being in partnerships with KCLWP it that we get to hear directly from graduates' learning subjects. As we learn, so do our children. The ripple effect is sharing and spreading our new learning, enabling us to grow together.
Awesome @ParentpowerSL meeting this morning! We built power through relational One to one's, session on AI, information on comparative literature and film studies. Thanks @RealistBev for hosting @KCLWP
Powerful meeting this morning. We discussed steps to make a community change and listened to a story of injustice from Hannah and Maxine and what they did to make a positive change! #parentpower@ParentpowerSL
Fantastic morning at @stjohnswaterloo with 100 community leaders from across South London!
Together weβre finding solutions to issues like housing, mental health provision, low pay, migration justice and more ππΏππ½

Powerful meeting today guest presenter: Enas discussed
Bright young minds debate mate programme opportunities and Parents came together to discuss children who are falling through the gap and the need for soft skills to help them with their presentation skills. #parentpower
We need to be at the table alongside policy makers, when they draft polices, so our lived experiences are taken into account for 'impactful' change to take place. We have solutions too if decision makers will only listen.
Thank you Wandsworth Community Empowerment Network for putting on your 7th Help Through Hardship Crisis Conference: Reducing Health Inequalities. Grassroot listening to communities also requires relationships building so our lived experiences impact real change.
Some of our parents will be attending an event called London Citizens Housing & Homelessness Issues Workshop. Using lived experiences
to shape the strategy for a campaign. Click here for details and to RSVP:Β https://t.co/odh655OdpU

@ArkJohnArcher congratulations to parents & children who last night @wandbc Housing committee made visible their voices and experinces of being caught in the current housing crisis. The council's commitment to build 1000 new homes is the tip of an iceberg! Parent action needed.
