Finally Seafarers Welfare Fund Society has agreed to come out with Group Insurance for 4 Lakh Indian Seafarers. Very soon tender will be awarded.
Expected about INR 3 Lakh to 5 Lakh medical insurance cover.
I pursued this for 5 Years and it's in action now.

4th Engineer working in Indian Shipping company was denied Sea Service Letter despite requests. He lodged online complaint, Grievance Redressal @dgship_goi
Within 2 days he got Seatime letter.

Seafarers should use this system of @dgship_goi to resolve issues with RPS companies.

Looks like Nautical Advisor to Govt of India won't be appointed in near future as DG(S) has himself taken the charge.
Babu doesn't need Sailing Experience to handle Piracy, Nautical Exams , Port Security etc..
