It is up to the people who created the car wars to put a stop to them. Hopefully that will happen after the elections and we can return to our normal friendly selves. Fighting is tiresome. @sfbos@LondonBreed @VoteandChangeSF #openthestreets@ParkAccess4All@openthegreathwy
We would like to clear up some confusion around Proposition I and accessibility: along with bringing cars back onto JFK Drive, this ballot measure includes a much-needed helipad to fully provide #AccessForAll. #YesOnI
Sorry this account has been so quiet lately. I was locked inside Dede Wilsey’s house for over a month. Back now and excited to work with @conniechansf to get cars back into the park!
Earlier today at #SF City Hall, @deyoungmuseum organized a rally to reopen #JFKDrive in Golden Gate Park, in the name of accessibility. Several community and advocacy groups came to show support including @TheArcSF @Calle24SF and @ParkAccess4All, as well as @openthegreathwy.
The @deyoungmuseum sent out a spam about a rally today at #SF City Hall to reopen #JFKDrive to cars in Golden Gate Park.
Among the groups in support of cars are @TheArcSF
@Calle24SF @ParkAccess4All and Sunset Heights Association of Responsible People @SharpSF (really yeah).
I support the proposed closure to car traffic on JFK Drive. This has been an essential space for our residents and families during this pandemic, and I believe it can be a long-term benefit to this city.
We have a lot of work to do to address a number of issues we've heard.
Please sign our petition so we can go back to safely running over our neighbors in the park with our cars. An #equitable compromise we can all get behind.
Do you miss driving on JFK and nearly running over your elderly neighbors? Tonight at 6pm, our group will be hosting a (real) Zoom call with an update on the asroturf campaign to remake JFK into a high-injury corridor for everyone to enjoy.

There is NOTHING funny about us innocent working class drivers whose livelihoods depend on driving on JFK. I hope we’re on the same page here @DrScottSampson
We all agree that #ClimateChange is real, but we can’t let it get in the way of our natural right to drive on all roads in Golden Gate Park. Thank you for tirelessly advocacy on behalf of all cars, @DrScottSampson.
OPINION: Supervisors should consider the needs of those who are not so fortunate as to be able walk or bike to access the de Young and the other institutions inside Golden Gate Park, writes the director and CEO of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
