JUST IN: @HolidayWorld in Santa Claus, Indiana unveils CANNONBALL!, a new water coaster coming in 2027!

The $22 million attraction from MACK Rides will feature 8 passenger vehicles that take riders up 90 feet and hit a top speed of 45mph.

CANNONBALL! will be themed to a Fourth of July community center pool party with a longstanding cannonball dive competition. And the theming doesn't end there. The seven boats will all be themed after different novelty inner tubes:

Strawberry
Watermelon
Doughnut
Stars and Stripes
Holiday World rainbow
Patriotic popsicle
Red & white stripes

The ride will feature five total drops before a final splashdown. You'll then float past a giant inflatable swan sculpture of "Ron the Swan" and "Ron Swan's Son" before you head back into the station.

@InsideTheMagic Happy to clarify your misinformation. The early closure Saturday was due to rain and temps in the 50s, as shared on Facebook and Instagram. We opened for spring April 3 from our “winter hiatus” and enjoyed seven spring weekends before we started daily summer operations on May 21

Lots of progress has been made on Project 2027 at @SDCAttractions The station appears to have been framed out since our last visit. Also interesting to see large rocks have been moved in for landscaping. Queue to new ride will be in this area.

Six Flags Great Adventure has unveiled their 2026 addition to the Boardwalk - Shoreline Pier!! Opening in late Spring of this year, this extension of the Boardwalk will feature five attractions, including a spinning wild mouse coaster, with four of these rides being brand new to the park!! The new area will feature a vibrant, electric atmosphere that captures the energy of the classic New Jersey oceanside boardwalk amusement park! It will also introduce new food and entertainment offerings! @sfgradventure @sixflags
