Many people see grief as pain. They avoid it, suppress it, or race to process it so they can expel it from their lives.
Here’s a beautiful alternative: grief is unexpressed love.
Holding onto it is a way of staying close to the people we’ve lost.
I’m devastated for the students, teachers, staff, and families of Oxford High School. The death of multiple students and shooting of others, including a teacher, is horrific. My heart is with the parents who had their children taken from them and with the entire Oxford community.
BEST BOOSTER? Mix it up — but depends which you had first. Switching vaccine for the booster seems to be the best—Pfizer to Moderna booster, Moderna to Pfizer for booster, and J&J should switch to Moderna / Pfizer booster. HT to @ScientistSwanda. #COVID19#BoosterShots#vaccinate
The only kind of pyramid scheme I’m interested in is books. You read one, it tells you about 20 others you need to read. You start with the first one from that list, it tells you to read 50 more. It never ends, you just read books until you die, never finishing a single list.
I find it strange to take a probiotic and an antibiotic together. Isn’t it like a math problem where they cancel each other out? #languageponderings#healingfrommastitis
Truths to remember when raising our children:
- They are gifts to us from God.
- We have very little control.
- We have influence.
How do we influence our children?
1. Love them.
2. Pray for them.
3. Prepare them.
4. Trust God with them.
5. Bless them.
6. Release them.
Latest PHE data shows vaccines are:
● 80% effective against hospitalisation after one dose.
● 96% effective against hospitalisation after 2 doses.
...and this is for the delta variant.
@WaysStranger bought me an espresso machine for Mother’s Day and I’ve been making lattes every morning since then. Happy Father’s Day to the man who thought of a gift that keeps on giving 😉
