@OneSweetDreamDi@WellWellDarling john mumbling about a 'mighty river' in the early "Real Love" demo made me think instantly of Paul's "Daytime Nighttime Suffering" released in, you guessed it, 1979.
@OneSweetDreamDi your astoundingly well-researched examination of these four HUMAN BEINGS, has been eye opening. I didn’t think I could love the Beatles boys more, but thanks to your podcast, I do!
@Steven_Hyden I wonder if music becoming essentially free is part of it? Once upon a time, a review helped you decide if you wanted fo spend your hard earned money. There were stakes attached to accessing and listening to a shit record. Now those stakes are gone.
@JokermenPodcast I agree, except for the “most of the time” take. My preference changes depending on my mood. They speak to really different emotional territories! I love that each has a unique instrumental hook– the sassy bass in oh mercy version and the simple, evocative harmonica in the demo.
