What were Romans? Subjects who saw every object in the world as an alien object to them without any value.

1. ਅੱਕ

ਅੱਕ ਇਕ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਬੂਟਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਗੈਰ ਆਬਾਦ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਆਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਧ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਈ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਪੱਤੇ ਚੌੜੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਜਦ ਦੁਸਹਿਰੇ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਨਰਾਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਵਿਚ ਜੌਂ ਬੀਜਣੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੌਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅੱਕ ਦੇ ਪੱਤਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕ ਕੇ ਗਰਮਾਇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜੌਂ ਛੇਤੀ ਉੱਗ ਆਉਣ।ਅੱਕ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਚਿੱਟੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਰਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅੱਕ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਕੜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅੰਬਾਖੜੀ ਵੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਬੱਚੇ ਕੁੱਕੜੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਡੱਕੇ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਰੇਲ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅੱਕ ਦੇ ਬੂਟੇ ’ਤੇ ਇਕ ਟਿੱਡਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ ਹਰਾ ਪੀਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਚੂਹੜੇ ਜਾਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਬੱਚੇ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਤੇ ਅੱਕ ਦੇ ਪੱਤੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਉਪਰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਦੇ ਸਨ। ਜਣੇਪੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਮਰੇ ਦੀ ਛੱਤ ਉਪਰ ਵੀ ਅੱਕ ਦੇ ਪੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾੜੀਆਂ ਰੂਹਾਂ ਤੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ। ਇਕ ਧਾਰਨਾ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਦੇ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਅੱਕ ਦਾ ਟੂਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਈ ਜਾਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਅੱਕ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਹੁਣ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਗਰਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਹਿਮਾ-ਭਰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
ਹੁਣ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਆਬਾਦ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਗੈਰ ਆਬਾਦ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੰਗਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਅੱਕ ਦਾ ਬੂਟਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

BREAKING: KFC Canada changes entire menu to HALAL only and also REMOVES PORK from the menu.

In a public statement, KFC Canada states that after collaboration with only the “MUSLIM TEAM members” at KFC Corporate Canada, they have decided to switch to fully halal while also removing pork from their menu.

There was ZERO consultation with KFC’s “Sikh team”, Sikh/non-Muslim employees, the broader Sikh community, and non-Muslim communities. Sikhs in particular, cannot eat halal slaughtered meat! Stay tuned. More to come…. 🇨🇦
