True incident: Why health insurance is essential
A young couple with two small children led a typical stressful life (work, earn, spend). Their three-year-old son had a minor health issue that persisted for over ten days. They visited a specialist hospital, where immediate surgery was recommended as it was the starting point of a serious condition.
The couple admitted their son without worrying about surgery, diagnostic, or medicine costs because they had one corporate and one retail health insurance policy with substantial coverage.
The surgery was successful, and the child is recovering. The corporate insurer settled 83% of the total bill (1.25 lakhs) cashlessly, with a 12.5% co-pay and some deductibles in the policy.
Most private insurers now offer plans without co-pays and allow add-ons to claim various non-claimable items.
The key point is that the couple focused solely on their son’s treatment, not money, thanks to health insurance.
Visiting child specialist hospitals reveals how many young kids require treatment. If many children need hospitalization, some adults and seniors may also need it someday.
To survive and live peacefully, health insurance and term insurance are essential—no choice.

@policybazaar@HDFCERGOGIC Every other day there is a cashless claim rejection for unknown reasons. Then these companies should stop promoting cashless claims and advertise only reimbursement claims. Very sad state of health insurance in India.

🚨 CASHLESS DENIAL — CUSTOMER STILL IN HOSPITAL
Why can’t the customer @Pankaj0530 get the support they need?
Here are the some facts:
1️⃣ Admission: 19th August
2️⃣ Complaint: Loss of sensation & numbness on the left side of the jaw
3️⃣ Investigation: On 21st, the cashless investigation was already completed by Bullet Health Services via HDFC .
4️⃣ Patient status: Patient is still in the hospital and waiting for discharge approval.
Cashless denial reasons not acceptable 👇
❌ “Pre-existing CVA doubt” - No supporting evidence has been shared with us, and the treating doctor has also provided a clarification.
❌ “Patient is discharged” - While the patient is reportedly still admitted and awaiting discharge approval.
So, a straightforward question to HDFC ERGO
If the cashless investigation is already completed and the treating doctor has clarified the CVA concern, what exactly is still pending for the cashless approval/discharge?
And if there is a genuine medical finding or policy-related reason for denial, please communicate it clearly to the customer instead of leaving a patient and family in doubt and they are struggling for discharge.
It is about asking for transparency when a patient is still inside the hospital.
@HDFCERGO @Policybazaar
A customer paying premiums deserves clarity when they need their policy the most.
Most of the hdfc health plans has in-built cover for consumables. Something is wrong in the deductions here unless we remove the cover to reduce the premium. And most of the insurance companies customer care is run by the bots. No human at all. Very sad state of service.
A "cashless" health insurance policy is a sham when the customer is still forced to pay cash at every stage.
My son was admitted to Dr. L. H. Hiranandani Hospital, Mumbai, for just two days. Despite having a cashless policy from @HDFCERGOGIC I was asked to pay an advance deposit at the time of admission.
And while settling the final bill, another Rs 5,000 was deducted as non-medical expenses.
When I asked what exactly these "non-medical expenses" were, the answer was: gloves and masks.
Rs 5,000 for gloves and masks during a two day hospitalisation? Seriously?
And the grievance redressal? Mostly bots, scripted replies, and when a human finally responds: "Sorry, it’s policy."
If I have to pay upfront at admission, pay again at discharge, and then fight for answers, what exactly is "cashless" about this policy?
This is not customer service. This is a system designed to sell the promise of cashless treatment while shifting the burden back onto the patient and their family.

@SanjayYada7n This is a powerful reminder of the importance of life insurance. Thank you for sharing this story and highlighting the peace of mind it can provide.
He left this world. But he didn’t leave his family helpless. ❤️
They lost their son. 💔
No money can ever fill that void.
But there was one thing he left behind for his family - financial protection.
He may not be here today to take care of them…
But the responsibility he carried for his family did not end with him.
In November 2024, he bought a ₹4.5 Crore life cover with an annual premium of just ₹70,000.
In December 2025, he tragically lost his life in a road accident.
Today, his family has received the ₹4.5 Crore claim.
He left this world, but he didn’t leave his family unprotected. ❤️
That is what life insurance really means.
You cannot control what tomorrow brings.
But you can make sure your family is financially protected when you are no longer there.
A father’s love doesn’t end with his life.
Sometimes, it continues through the protection he leaves behind. ❤️
One last question: ❓
Are you still postponing your term insurance…
and running away from the responsibility your family will have to carry if you’re not there?
Don’t wait for tomorrow.
Your family deserves protection today.

90% posts i read on the Internet posting about the CJP, have 0 idea about the issue itself! I will not be wrong if i say 99% also.
It’s fashionable to share and comment on a trending topic but most don’t know that they don’t know anything!
Asking your government questions is surely your RIGHT but escalating it after having received the answer is agenda! It’s difficult to go against the heard but it’s time someone speaks up.
May 3- NEET examination. Within 4 days, the NTA detected fraud. The very next day, it informed the police. The investigation began. The Government cancelled the May 3 examination.
May 12 - The Ministry of Education filed a written complaint. The CBI registered the case. Special investigation team (SIT) were formed immediately.
May 15 - Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan addressed the nation. He apologised. Accepted moral responsibility. Announced the re-NEET schedule.
Then came the bigger announcement. From next year, Major national examinations would move towards
computer-based, multi-encrypted testing (CBT). A permanent solution.
June 21.
Fresh NEET examination conducted successfully.
July 16.
Results declared.
Meanwhile,
The CBI moved fast. Arrests began. 13 accused were behind bars.
Why did the matter escalate so much then? And let’s face the fact, is this the first time papers have leaked? But this is surely the first time the government addressed it so quickly & most national exams have moved to CBT so that this does not repeat in the future.
Now you might wonder what’s happening then, Let’s decode the motive!
The joke is on you if you think this is not politically motivated! Let’s talk about the 2 stars of this campaign Abhijeet Dipke and Sonam wangchuk
Abhijeet Dipke was associated with AAP between 2020 to 2023
Sonam’s father was a congress MP and you think this has nothing to do with politics?
Let’s talk about the motive now,
Ofcourse reviving failed political ambition is one but very importantly
FCRA (Foreign contribution Act) bill which is supposed to be tabled in this monsoon season
It’s a know fact how foreign elements fund India NGOs to stall India’s economic growth. Over the last few years a lot of NGO licenses have been cancelled because they have not been able to provide the source of their foreign funding in which one of them was Sonam’s NGO! But the problem so far was that when the license was cancelled the assets of the NGOs were not freezed and hence they were re using the assets to continue their activities is what the FCRA bill intends to stop! Once passed, the license and assets will be frozen if NGOs can’t prove the source of the funding
Now you will ask why would foreign elements fund NGOs and how do NGOs help them?
Latest example is your Nicobar project. The biggest reason why Iran is able to push US back in this war is because it controls the strait of Hormuz from where ~20% of the world’s crude move. India also has this strategic advantage in Nicobar because majority of chinas crude moves from there. So if we build Defense there and control it, will it not hurt China?
Now NGOs are others (you know whom) are funded to stop this from happening and stall India’s development.
So my friend there is a permanent solution offered to the paper leak problem and still if this matter is not getting solved please understand this is beyond paper leak.
Remember, when the cause has a supporter, you are in the right direction but when the cause has a sponsor, you know something is wrong!
I am with you that we should ask questions to the government & could the police situation had been better managed, absolutely a yes but let’s not get played by the vested narrative on the Internet
Also, this is not about CONGRESS, BJP or AAP, I speak because this is about India! I pay tax & vote as well most who don’t do any also have a problem.
Jai hind!
A follower messaged us yesterday about their hernia surgery at a top Mumbai hospital.
The total cost=11.04L
Yes, 11.04L for a hernia surgery,
We were shocked and stunned by the cost,
If this is the cost for a small hernia surgery,
What will be the cost for bigger surgeries?
So is it a crime to get hospitalised in Mumbai?
Has quality healthcare in Mumbai become a luxury only the ultra-rich can afford? 🏥💸
@StarHealthIns@ANANDSROY If this is not addressed by you properly. Ready for Legal Battle and ready to pay with additional amount of harassment compensation.

We had nauseating, disgusting levels of corruption in Tamil Nadu under the DMK. This is known to the entire Universe, not some grand secret.
It reached such Himalayan heights, their own Finance Minister, someone not corrupt who was caught up with the corrupt crowd, was complaining about it (sadly for him his remarks became public and he was demoted to became the IT Minister).
This is not about ideology.
Even the Marxists of Kerala, then allied with the DMK, would say how deeply corrupt the DMK was.
I have always appreciated people like Shri Balagopal, the former Finance Minister of Kerala, for his devoted public service. I am sure he and I will not agree on political philosophy or ideology but I deeply respect him.
If the DMK truly wants to introspect, they must start with their corruption.
Instead, they spend their time attacking a messenger like me as a TVK stooge or a Brahmin or a Sanghi and so on.
May be they can study Kural 423: focus on the message, even if the message comes from a "Brahmin Sanghi TVK stooge" like me:
