@SatyagrahAlba There's sadly nobody in the parliamentary party now, who could take on that proper leadership role. The party is totally scared of UK reactions to such a leader & they want to simply secure their own personal careers. Intimidated into inaction.
Maybe the SNP's branch members could copy Labour's leader swap & dump Swinney for a more combative & defiant leader. One who would be a proper 1st Minister, who could lead the independence movement & eventually a free Scottish government.
During the last 7 days, I've been actively searched by the Scottish Parliament, the Scottish Government, East Renfrewshire Council & the SNP! Also by Glasgow University, Edinburgh University, Abertay University & Queen Margaret University! Wow! What's all THAT about?
@AndyMc______ It is precisely those Scottish patriots at the UN, whom we should choose to lead us. Those who have proved their courage & integrity through their actions on our behalf. Professional politicians are egotists and careerist pests.
@grantkmurray Dredge the swamp, remove slime mould & make it deeper to turn it into a loch. After that we have clean water, healthy plants & aquatic life. No more leeches or slippery eels. Huge mixing of metaphors there...
@meljomur They're usually weeded out before they can be selected as candidates in elections. That type of individualism is a threat to managers like John Swinney. So they just aren't allowed near either parliament.
@AndyMc______ Managerialism is not leadership. It takes a certain quality of person to be strong enough & focussed sufficiently on the primary demands of the Scottish public, to truly LEAD this nation.
@nawtheclaw A peaceful public uprising. Millions of pissed off Scots barricade Holyrood, until a nationalist leader grows a backbone. If there's none, then we need to have a massive & long term, occupation of Holyrood. No more union grifters.
UK has a new PM virtually every year with no democratic election or means of public choice. We in Scotland continue to suffer due to this English colonisation & enforcement of foreign interference in our national affairs. Only in Scotland. No other country would put up with it.
When Cromwell's soldiers marched north to seize the crown jewels of Scotland, it was not a soldier who saved them. It was a minister's wife.
Her name was Christian Fletcher. As Dunnottar Castle stood besieged on its sea cliff, she slipped the crown, sword, and sceptre out past the English lines, some say hidden in bundles of flax and wool. For years they lay buried beneath the floor of a humble country church at Kinneff.
Because of her quiet courage, the honours of Scotland still exist today. Yet how many of us ever learned her name in school?

@mike59215 How many tens of thousands of Scots led the colonisation of British territories overseas? Almost none. A few hundred if that. And they were mostly British capitalists, operating the English system of colonial exploitation in Scotland as well.
The English colonisers talking about Scotland, an English colony as now called in the UN system, and how to continue extracting & plundering the colony and in what ways. Steal more of its oil & gas or steal more of its renewables while making Scots pay the highest electricity prices in Europe. As an English colony, Scotland has begun its decolonisation via UN processes since the annexation & territorial alienation of Scotland is now fully demonstrated, supreme crimes in international law. The English colonial state will pay for its immense crimes in Scotland and the trillions stolen from the Scottish people. Colonial thieves.
@Lipsalivem98236@ktb51aduke1 Yet the General Belgrano was only peripheral to the conflict, sailing away from the exclusion zone. The decision by Thatcher to order the sinking was & still is, controversial. The rules of engagement were not really applicable to British attack submarines in international waters
@LesBlair53 Nobody in Scotland expects our national team to get through the group stages. Our players drawn from a very small number of clubs. The managers tend to favour experienced (older) players & results in a relatively slow paced, passing game.
@LesBlair53 Bowie backs the losing horse. Trusting English exceptionalism extends to its football team. Just like its loosening control of Scotland. Despite being only 9% of England's size & wealth, Scotland still put up a reasonable fight in the group stages of the world cup.
