@MudgeRulf First, Learn the language, acquire a skill and grow yourself slowly away from the external pressure unless you want to start selling negativities all over, the whole earth is filled with challenges.

Actually on not working the first 1 to two years in Germany. She is right , even the mini jobs need language skills .

So basically even if there are mini jobs/ student jobs , without language skills it is not easy to get a job. You need the language skills to so that is why I keep advising those coming to Germany as students or on language visas to assume they will be jobless for the first 1-2 years . If you have some money, move over with it for the broke first two years in Germany as a student .

If you are fundraising , fundraise for living expenses for 1-2 years too if possible .

Currently, many people are coming through the opportunity card . The challenges are huge and some don’t want to talk about it .

I think most people are used to hearing rosy stories from the Diaspora and neglecting the thorns of the Diaspora.

So . If you want to have a good start as a language student /student in Germany. Invest in the language and it will take you at least 2 years to have the proficiency needed .

I don’t understand why this clip has triggered many people whereas this lady is speaking the absolute truth ! Key take home points for Germany;
1. learn the language
2. Acquire the skills through a vocational training or a degree . I recommend a degree.
3. Don’t be duped into working without skills , it will come to your disadvantage later in life . The same people who were preventing you from acquiring skills when you were in your 20s will be the same ones underpaying you in your 50s because you don’t have educational qualifications.
4. Once you have stabilized financially, also prioritize yourself while assisting family back home if you must.
5. If you must build a house in your home country, unless your parents don’t have a decent home , start by building yourself rentals before building anyone including yourself a residential home.
