@ThePOTSPostman That ambulatory wheelchair users are actually a thing.
I’m not faking it. It means I’ve learnt to understand how the pressure in my body & system works.
on top of managing seizures, I don’t want to prove/ mask to anyone that these conditions are real from the inside out.
the art of keeping in touch:
> please please ALWAYS feel free to reach out to your friends that you've lost touch with. it will be the most welcome surprise
> if you're insecure why you lost touch; it happens and it's a normal part of life. that doesn't make your memories together any less special
> old friends are next level comfort. it’s history, past, and context that doesn’t need to be explained since they lived it right beside you
> there are life seasons - people move, change jobs, start school, start dating, breakup, get sick, grieve - all of these can impact how easy it might be to stay in touch and it's generally never personal
> make it a habit: whenever someone comes to mind, text them immediately. don't overthink it! this helps to maintain a lot of relationships at once
"hey, was just thinking about you! how you been?"
"just remembered the time we <funny memory together> it made me smile"
"saw <thing that reminds me of you> and thought of you"
> getting this type of message will likely make their day and bring back good memories for the both of you
> from there you can: have a back-and-forth texting convo, send voice memos, hop on a call, or figure out when you'll be in the same city again and make plans (woohoo!!)
> just as you're changing over time, your old friends are changing too. they're growing up right alongside you. even if you don't connect in the exact same way you did before, the shared context and memories are wonderful and irreplaceable
don't wait for the 'perfect moment' to reconnect - that perfect moment is now 🤍
No, it's not pregnancy, it's fibroid😲😲
She had uterine fibroid for 13 years and was finally able to get the surgery done.
See how she looked after 🥹
May God heal everyone battling with fibroid and send them help
A 4-year-old boy’s simple habit of waving to his neighbors transformed an entire neighborhood, and helped him find the community he needed. @SteveHartmanCBS is On the Road in North Carolina.
#TimmsReview
The Timms review interim report issued argues that it must be “radical” & bold” in its recommendations for changes to (PIP). However, it’s clear that the panel still have no clue what these recommendations should be.

The greatest gift a parent can give isn’t a child who turns out just like them, it’s a child who never has to heal from what they had to survive. Break the cycle. Let them outgrow your fears, not inherit them.❤️
Before it made sense, it required faith.
It wasn’t strategy. It was instruction.
It’s easy to discredit or downplay a vision that has come to pass.
But nothing was obvious to anyone then. Absolutely nothing.
That’s the power of faith. ✝️
Your daughter just got her first period.
Do not tell her she is a woman now.
Tell her what estrogen does.
Tell her what progesterone does.
Tell her her cycle has four phases and each one will feel different.
Give her information. Not a new identity.
1) This is a scam to collect your data
2) My sister who has a lifelong disability (cerebral palsy) walks each day as a part of her physio suggested by her NHS GP and as a result they cut her mobility component of PIP despite it leaving her in pain and sometimes immobile
Imagine being told the wait for an NHS autism/ADHD assessment is 4 years.
So you empty your savings to go private because you can't put your life on hold.
Then you're told the NHS won't prescribe because the diagnosis wasn't theirs.
People are forced to go private, then punished for it.
That's not a healthcare system. That's a trap.
1. The govt is deliberately underfunding the NHS in the millions annually.
2. Private US health insurance firms are successfully lobbying the govt to end free healthcare.
3. The UK public is currently intoxicated by racism so they dont have to confront how poor they really are
The only way to fix housing is to build more social & council homes. Join me & @Kwajotweneboa to demand @AngelaRayner levels with us and tell us how many social & council homes Labour will build? #OurHomeOurFutures https://t.co/D4EIrwxtz7
Can you imagine the pride her grandmother feels seeing this? She’s 93 so she saw and/or experienced Jim Crow, redlining, KKK attacks, the civil rights movement, massive injustice and inequality, and more. But she made it. And so did her granddaughter!
