Ann Widdecombe:
"No one has the right to live their lives being protected from offence or hurt feelings - it is an occupational hazard of living in a society. If you can't take it, become a hermit."
May she forever rest in peace.
Brussels mayor @PhilippeClose pledges his support for MOROCCO🇲🇦 in the World Cup.
In a city where 79% of inhabitants are of foreign origin, democracy becomes a competition of ethnic and religious voting blocs — and as we have seen all over the West, politicians will gladly change their ‘loyalties’ in return for some votes.
But it’s like selling your soul to the devil, because his party is being completely taken over by the Arabs and Muslims he’s been pandering to. Soon he too will be replaced.
Volgend WK is in Marokko.

Thinking that Fahrenheit is natural and intuitive because *you* grew up with it is just a "breakfast test" failure.
Strike one
Fahrenheit has its zero point in a completely random place at -17.778°C. What is the point of that? 0° Celsius is the freezing point of water and determines whether roads and bodies of freshwater will freeze, rain vs snow of hail, etc.
Strike two
100°F is at least somewhat sensible at 37.78°C, because that's roughly human body temp. But actually there are two problems with this
(a) the outer surface of your body is at about 33°C, not 37°C.
(b) we don't actually feel air temperature, we feel a mixture of humidity and temperature (see:humidex)
So setting the 100 point on the temperature scale to body core temperature isn't even that helpful...
Furthermore, the air temperature often goes above 100°F. In fact at any given time there's usually somewhere on Earth where this is the case. So 100°F isn't even really a good maximum temperature.
Strike there
Bonus problem: the metric system is great and doing anything at all with imperial is a nightmare. People have died because of the silly imperial system.
Fahrenheit sucks
@wojakotto As a European i do have to say it is up to the EU & specifcally it's individual member states to either improve their relationships with the US or bolster their defences. Both of which it doesn't seem like they're keen on doing...
