In a landmark test, a Rolls-Royce jet engine successfully operated at full thrust using only hydrogen fuel for the first time in history.

The engine was tested across a complete simulated flight cycle, including fault scenarios, proving that hydrogen can not only burn inside a modern aero gas turbine but can deliver the power needed for real commercial flight.

Why this matters:
• Aviation is one of the hardest sectors to decarbonize
• Hydrogen produces zero CO₂ when burned — only water
• This test validates that hydrogen combustion, fuel systems, and engine controls can work together at full power
• It moves hydrogen aviation from theory into practical engineering reality

The deeper implication is huge:
We are now seeing the first real proof that large commercial aircraft could one day fly on hydrogen instead of kerosene.

While many challenges remain (especially hydrogen storage and airport infrastructure), this test removes one of the biggest technical doubts: whether a jet engine can actually deliver full power on hydrogen.

The race toward zero-emission flight just took a major step forward.

This is where things get strategically interesting.

They defended it publicly, continued trials, and positioned it as central to their climate strategy.

This means the merged entity is WILL scale Bovaer faster, not slower.

2. DMK brings Germany — a huge dairy market — into the equation

The merger forces a harmonised methane strategy, and Bovaer is the only ready‑to‑deploy tool.

CONSUMERS: Exoect Organic Milk to be Priced out of the Market, not just UK, not just EU, but there will be plans through those financially involved, like Bill Gates, to get BOVAER in Animal Feeds as the de facto position.

And before Mr Gates Operatives on X start to argue:

The Company holding Bovaer Trademarks is DSM-Firmenich -- The Gates Foundation holds extensive shareholdings in this Company.

OF COURSE TEN YEARS FROM NOW THERE WILL BE ZERO CHOICE - JUST BOVAER.

For the Arla–DMK giant, this means:

They will push Bovaer harder than ever — because climate targets demand it.

They must avoid another consumer revolt — because the merged brand is too big to hide.

They will likely invest heavily in “green dairy” PR, transparency dashboards, and retailer‑aligned messaging.

Any future health concerns (even unfounded ones) will hit twice as hard because of their scale.

LACK OF CHOICE, LACK OF TRANSPARENCY, PUBLIC REJECTION

We’re sleepwalking into a food system where the public has no real choice at all.

Supermarkets are quietly shifting to “low‑methane milk” using feed additives like Bovaer — and most people don’t even know it’s happening.

There’s no clear labelling.
There’s no public documentation.

There’s no way for families to choose milk without these additives unless they pay organic prices or hunt down tiny local suppliers.

And here’s the truth nobody in the industry wants to say out loud:

Even if every analysis says “no harm”, even if regulators approve it, even if the science is solid…

The public still won’t want it if they feel tricked.

People want transparency.

People want choice.

People want to know what’s going into the food chain — not find out years later through a press release.

This isn’t anti‑science. This isn’t anti‑farmer.

This is about trust.

If the industry keeps rolling out feed additives without open discussion, clear labelling, or public consent, they’re going to trigger a backlash far bigger than they expect.

Choice matters. Transparency matters. Trust matters.

And right now, the public is getting none of them.

It’s not often I write a post like this, but I feel I need too. After 19 years as a cop, and giving my life for the public I’ve never met, believing in a better tomorrow…..I’m utterly disgusted, ashamed and have absolutely no faith in our justice system anymore.

An officer was fired for arresting a violent offender, who was armed with a weapon, because he had used some naughty words. The same ex-officer tackled a shoplifter who’s been charged with a plethora of offences, but has now been charged with assault after taking the offender to the floor. (Which is what he was trained to do)

Then two violent thugs, assault various people, attack female officers, and when an officer steps in to do his job, they can’t get a guilty verdict or won’t run a final trial.

I’m lost for words and have absolutely no faith in CPS, their decision making, or the justice system.

This is not just a case for the police, but shows the greater community that if you’re decent and law abiding, witness a crime and want to help…..you’ll have the book thrown at you.

However if you want to fight to police……it’s perfectly fine to do so.

The funniest maths in modern environmentalism.

One almond requires 12 litres of irrigated water to produce. Peer-reviewed, ScienceDirect, 2017. A glass of almond milk contains roughly 50 of them. 600 litres of water before the carton is filled.

The water comes from the San Joaquin Valley in California, which sits over one of the most over-extracted aquifers on earth. The valley floor has subsided by up to nine metres in places due to groundwater depletion. The carton is then refrigerated, sailed across the Atlantic, refrigerated again, lorried to a Manchester Tesco, and bought by someone who is concerned about the environmental impact of dairy.

Meanwhile, in Cheshire.

A British dairy cow drinks roughly 70 to 100 litres of water a day and produces around 28 litres of milk. That's about 3.5 litres of water per litre of milk. The water is rainwater that fell on her field or came from a local stream fed by the same rainwater. The rain was going to fall on the field whether the cow stood in it or not. 80% of her moisture intake comes from the grass itself, which is also rain.

She converts the grass, free of charge, into a litre of milk containing seven times the protein and four times the calcium of almond milk, and shipped roughly 18 miles to the same Tesco.

To recap.

600 litres of stolen aquifer, flown halfway round the world for nutritionally worthless beige water.

Or 3.5 litres of rain that was already falling, converted by an animal you can pet, into actual food.

The shopper picks the almond.

She has been told this is the ethical position.

The aquifer would like a word.

A brief update on the @Indep_Inq_GG “Grooming gang” Inquiry…

This week the Inquiry panel for the Independent Inquiry into Grooming Gangs (the official title, not my choice of words) was questioned by the Home Affairs Select Committee. We hadn’t been made aware this was taking place and only found out on the day via a social media post and hence we couldn’t let our survivors know in advance. Much of what was said however has left us with more questions than it answered in all honesty. What was repeated was the importance of placing victims and survivors at the “heart of the panel”!!!

This is what that has looked like so far…….

We have not heard from the Inquiry team since we took over two dozen survivors and their families to meet with them in February. In that emotionally charged meeting, survivors spoke about their experiences and their anger at how badly they have been failed, most for decades. They shared their expertise and expectations for the Inquiry.

Their anger and trauma was palpable, and most of that was actually directed at the “establishment” including police, cps, social services, government rather than towards their abusers tbh! They clearly demanded the agencies that have failed them (and still are in many cases!) are held ACCOUNTABLE, right up to the top of those agencies!

In early March, we submitted both our and the survivors’ extensive comments to the draft Terms of Reference. We have received no reply.

In April, our legal team @HoweAndCo wrote to the Inquiry on behalf of all our survivor group expressing the importance of victims and survivors being granted proper legal status in the Inquiry and public funding to ensure they can be properly represented by legal experts. This will go some way to addressing the imbalance between survivors and the very agencies, organisations and individuals whose decisions have caused so much of their trauma. Police forces and local authorities around the country will have undoubtedly been working with their legal teams since the inquiry was announced almost a year ago.

This is PRECISELY the imbalance I saw 8 years ago when I was involved in the @IICSAVSCP Independent Inquiry Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA). Because the “Organised networks” strand became little more than a platform for public institutions to say what a great job they were now going with barely any survivors heard, it became a meaningless paper exercise and that’s imo why we’re here now….

I’ll leave you to read the Home Office’s response attached below and our reply and make up your own mind as to whether we should have confidence that this will be granted.

So many survivors have fought hard for this Inquiry. People are sharing traumatic details of the worst times of their lives again in the hope that they will finally see people held accountable for decisions that destroyed their lives. Survivors must have legal status and representation if there is even the slightest chance of this happening.

Please share far and wide. We need people pressure to make this happen. Further updates to follow next week….

Aujourd’hui, j’étais à la banque, dans la file d’attente devant un distributeur.
Devant moi, un monsieur très âgé. Plus de quatre-vingts ans, sûrement.
Il tenait une enveloppe dans la main, un peu tremblante.

Quand ce fut son tour, je l’ai observé discrètement.
Il touchait l’écran, hésitait, revenait en arrière…
Je voyais bien qu’il ne comprenait pas.
L’écran, les boutons, les étapes… tout semblait trop rapide pour lui.

La file derrière commençait à s’impatienter.
Lui, il s’est retourné vers moi, avec un regard gêné mais digne,
et il m’a demandé, tout doucement :
« Vous pourriez m’aider… s’il vous plaît ? »

Je me suis avancée tout de suite.
Je lui ai expliqué calmement, étape par étape.
Sans jamais toucher son argent.
Par respect. Par pudeur. Par délicatesse.

Il voulait faire un dépôt.
Il a réussi, lentement, en se concentrant.
Quand l’opération s’est terminée, il avait l’air soulagé.
Comme un enfant fier d’avoir réussi.

Il m’a remerciée avec un sourire incroyable.
Et juste avant de partir, il a sorti un billet de 10 euros de sa poche
et a voulu me le donner.

J’ai refusé.
Il a insisté. Il m’a dit que c’était « pour le petit-déjeuner ».
Pour me remercier à sa manière.

J’ai décliné encore, doucement.
Et là, je suis repartie avec un nœud dans la gorge.

Parce que ce monsieur…
ce n’est pas un cas isolé.

Ils sont nombreux, nos parents, nos grands-parents,
perdus face à un monde devenu trop numérique, trop rapide, trop froid.
Perdus devant les écrans, les bornes, les applications, les mots de passe.

Ces gens ont construit le pays dans lequel on vit.
Ils ont travaillé toute leur vie.
Ils ont payé, cotisé, élevé des enfants, tenu des familles.

Et aujourd’hui, on les laisse seuls
face à des machines qui ne parlent pas,
dans des banques sans guichet,
dans des hôpitaux sans accueil,
dans des administrations sans humain.

On parle d’innovation, de progrès, de modernité…
Mais on oublie l’essentiel : l’humain.

S’arrêter cinq minutes pour aider quelqu’un,
ça ne coûte rien.
Mais pour eux, ça change tout.

Parfois je me demande :
est-ce qu’on avance vraiment…
ou est-ce qu’on devient juste plus rapides à oublier les autres ?

Comme le diocèse de Tours, je m’interroge, sans trop m’étonner, sur la volonté du gouvernement de faire progressivement disparaître les aumôniers des hopitaux. Ayant remplacé un aumônier pendant deux ans j’ai pu mesurer à quel point ils étaient nécessaires ! Mais qu’attendre d’un président de la République qui annonce aux Bernardins qu’il veut réconcilier l’Eglise avec la République et qui fait inscrire la loi permettant l’avortement dans la Constitution, qui instaure un confinement pendant la crise du Covid qui va jusqu’à empêcher les prêtres de donner les derniers sacrements aux mourants des établissements publics, qui soutient une loi de suicide assisté et d’euthanasie avec un délit d’entrave pour les prêtres ( qui, obéissant au Pape sont contre), les punissant de 7000 € d’amende et de deux ans de prison. Dans ces conditions les aumôniers sont de trop dans les hopitaux, ils peuvent devenir des témoins gênants !

I salute the boss of a US tech outfit for revealing he sacked his entire HR team for “ creating problems that don’t exist.”
The boss, Ryan Breslin who is CEO and co- founder of Bolt said the problems disappeared when the HR lot were let go.
My experience is that HR people are lefty/ liberal types often enjoying employee drama with the more senior ones working out how to leave with a large payoff for themselves.
Managements of small to middle sized businesses should follow suit and dump HR referred to fondly by a colleague as Human Remains.
