@StillmanMD This tweet is a reminder that you have no clue what you're talking about. People like you are responsible for the recurrence of measles in the US. You should not be practicing medicine

[Pascal Meyer MD @PascalMS1]

This.

[Brad Spellberg @BradSpellberg]

@PascalMS1 @ABsteward @DrToddLee @PulmCrit @nickmmark @medrants Stalin allegedly said, "One death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic."
Well, I say, "One death from a clinical error is a tragedy. A million deaths from incorrect guidelines is a statistic."
Amazing complete lack of accountability guidelines have had. Time for change!

[Pascal Meyer MD @PascalMS1]

@BradSpellberg @ABsteward @DrToddLee @PulmCrit @nickmmark @medrants Signed it - it's crazy to think about the real live impact for patients in the US and worldwide

[Brad Spellberg @BradSpellberg]

Calling MedTwitter! If you have had it with clinical guidelines recommending things not based on evidence, PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION CALLING ON SPECIALTY SOCIETIES TO REFORM THE GUIDELINES PROCESS!

[Pascal Meyer MD @PascalMS1]

@nhilsi @meplano Sorry, sehe den nicht? Welchen?

🔥Wow🔥It's published!
Congratulations everyone, honored to be part of this letter!
Oral Fosfomycin for Pyelonephritis: Time for Evidence Over Eminence-based Guidelines
We are concerned that the process used by IDSA, and other specialty societies, to construct clinical guidelines continues to produce recommendations absent–or even contrary to–evidence, potentially causing patient harm #idxposts

[Antibiotic Steward Bassam Ghanem 🅱️C🆔🅿️🌟 @ABsteward]

Now, you can cite our letter
Fosfomycin can be used as oral transitional therapy for cUTI/Pyelo even with Bactremia!
"Given favorable published pharmacokinetic data, extensive concordant observational data, and multiple concordant RCTs, the totality of evidence is compelling that oral transition to fosfomycin is an appropriate option for cUTI/pyelonephritis even with bacteremia, and against ESBL-expressing pathogens"

[Brad Spellberg @BradSpellberg]

The 1st of 2 new articles in CID critical of clinical guideline process is out. See
https://t.co/NqHCE8MhSj
It is long past time clinical guidelines incorporate the humility of uncertainty & stop creating standards of care absent of reproducible prospective studies.

[Pascal Meyer MD @PascalMS1]

@konold @Andygetout Lieber Martin,

[Pascal Meyer MD @PascalMS1]

@zacroBID @BradSpellberg @PulmCrit @nickmmark @DrToddLee Glad to entertain you with my nonsense 🙈
