Hand on heart, I dont feel sad at all. Im so fucking proud of this group. Won us a PL after 22 years and took us to a UCL final. Kings who will be remembered forever. 99% of Europe would want our season.
Thank you Mikel and Thank you Arsenal.
I recognise my football club again.
on my 26th birthday, i wrote I Took A Pill in Ibiza…10 years ago. The song became popular several years after i wrote it. Yesterday i celebrated my 36th birthday. i feel proud to look at the song lyrics and know that NONE of them are true anymore. I’ve grown into a completely new man…one that i’m proud of. check this out… 🧵
Time doesn't heal psychological wounds. Perspective does.
Days passed don't guarantee insight gained. Seeing last year's disappointments through an old lens is more upsetting than viewing yesterday's setbacks from a new angle.
Time creates distance. Reflection offers wisdom.
A sign of emotional intelligence is moving from “You made me feel” to “This is how I reacted.”
Our emotions aren’t caused by other people’s actions. They’re shaped by our interpretations.
Blaming others gives them power over our feelings. Taking responsibility empowers us.
People who are unwilling to admit their mistakes are unable to learn from them.
Acknowledging yesterday's error is a prerequisite to correcting it today and preventing more tomorrow.
When we get it wrong, arrogance insists "I was right." Humility says "I want to make it right."
Don’t rush, but don’t wait.
Act with urgency, but release yourself from the need to achieve it on a particular timeline. When you think longer term than most, you can think bigger than most.
If it takes years, start now.
To Granit,
It’s been one hell of a ride. You gave everything and more in an Arsenal shirt. When times got tough, you were always the one player to stand up and be counted. You never hid. You never backed down.
Managers came, managers left but you were always the one player they trusted above everyone else. The captain without the armband.
Granit, thank you. On & off the pitch you gave everything for this football club and for that you’ll always have my upmost respect.
It’s been fun. Goodbye Granit.❤️
