Another one!
Former Detroit Democrat Congressman Hansen Clarke just endorsed Republican Mike Rogers for Senate over Abdul El-Sayed, right after Rep. Haley Stevens did the same.
Michigan is waking up. 🇺🇸
Six and a half years.
That is what a self-described jihadi got in Dublin today for firebombing Conor McGregor's pub and stabbing a rookie cop four days later. He did it, he told police, as a message to Ireland about insulting the prophet.
Abdullah Khan, 24, poured petrol on the front door of the Black Forge Inn and lit it with a match. Four days on he shouted "Allahu Akbar" and put a knife into Gary Lynch, eight months on the job with the Irish police. Two cuts to the arm, nerve damage, surgery. Lynch is still out on sick leave.
Khan told police he pledged allegiance to ISIS. His own words: "This was a message to the Irish government that if, under the name of free speech, you insult our prophet, there will be people who are angry." He picked McGregor's pub because McGregor "had helped the far-right to grow in Ireland."
McGregor is the fighter President Trump hosted in the Oval Office on St. Patrick's Day last year.
Arson in Ireland carries up to life. The court asked Khan to sit for a psychological assessment before sentencing. He REFUSED. The judge said the court was "disappointed," then gave him seven and a half years with the last year suspended, backdated to the day of the stabbing.
He is the first person ever convicted of an Islamist attack under Ireland's terrorism laws.
That is not a sentence. That is a price list. 💎
Let us be absolutely clear Sadiq Khan: while you cry about Islamophobia, churches across Europe are burned and vandalized every week and mosques are left alone. Nobody talks about that. We don't need an Islamophobia month. We need a Christianophobia month.
Andy babe they'll take you down first and @repDebDingell after you! How much time do you spend in Dearborn Debs! Go incognito for a week then tell us your experience! Take a walk at 10 at night and let us know how that goes! Stop bullshitting people because Dems are desperate for power! The hate is on YOUR SIDE! How dare a Jewish woman feel fear because a certain group of people threaten her very existence on a daily basis! You are BOTH grotesque fools!
Bill Maher argues That Islam Is Violent During Exchange With Anderson Cooper
Anderson Cooper: why is islam the one religion about which so many in america and the west censor themselves when it comes to talking about it or making fun of it? is it just fear?
Bill maher: yeah, absolutely. because they’re violent. they threaten us, and they are threatening. they bring that desert stuff to our world.
i said the same thing friday night. you know, we don’t threaten each other. we sue each other. that’s the sign of civilized people. and they don’t.
yes, we do have religious nuts in this country. there was a cleric in iran who recently said that earthquakes were caused by women. well, pat robertson once said that abortions caused hurricanes.
but the difference is pat robertson doesn’t have the power to cut your arms off.
people who want to gloss over the difference between western culture and islamic culture, and forget about the fact that the culture is 600 years younger and going through the equivalent of what the west went through during the middle ages and dark ages, when religion had way too much power, and we had inquisitions and things like that, do so at their peril.
Anderson cooper: when you hear the refrain from american muslims, and the vast majority of american muslims abhor this kind of stuff, they’ll say, “look, islam is a religion of peace.” do you buy that?
Bill maher: yeah, they blow you up. there’s a pc over there, there’s a pc over there, there’s a pc over there.
is it a religion of peace? i don’t know. i have not read the quran in its original language. when you read the translation, there are many, many, many passages that are not peaceful at all, passages about killing the infidel and so forth.
there are many passages like that in the bible too, not as many, and we don’t take them seriously. that’s the difference.
we blow off our religions. if we took the bible seriously, we’d look over our fence on sunday morning, see our neighbor mowing his lawn, and think, “huh, working on sunday. i really should kill him.”
but we don’t do that.
there are entire schools, anderson. you’re a globetrotter. you’ve been to madrasas in pakistan and so forth. there are entire schools where the kids read just one book. they’re memorizing the quran. that’s all they do.
that’s not what we do in this country.
The hatred from the media started fast on CNN with Anderson Cooper. @RubinReport on how modern Dems refuse to allow anyone to take an oppositional stance without trying to destroy them:
🚨 LOL: CNN is in full MELTDOWN mode because one Democrat crossed the aisle.
Haley Stevens endorsed Mike Rogers over Abdul El-Sayed, and Anderson Cooper grilled her like she'd committed a crime.
"Why can you afford now to give MAGA another Senate seat?"
Stevens shot back: "It sounds like you're upset with me, too, Anderson."
She's right. He was.
Then CNN went straight to a live report on the Democrat Party's damage control, with the polls, the fundraising, and the furious party bosses.
That's not a newsroom. That's a campaign war room with better lighting.
Breaking: Federal judge dismisses—and lambastes—the DOJ false statements case against two former FBI officials. Calls it “weaponization.”
Judge Faruqui—a former federal prosecutor himself—said the government made a number of errors in their "slapdash job" of a case. He said there was no evidence presented before the court that the FBI agents' statements were knowingly false or material. He said the government failed to establish a motive for why the agents would make false statements.
He told prosecutors it was "incredibly unfair" that the DOJ sent into court with such a weak case. "This does not feel like an investigation," Faruqui said. "It feels like a broken one-wish willow obsession."
He added that he was "deeply troubled by what has happened here in this case," and that what happened "cannot be described as anything other than weaponization."
"It was a rush to charge, and that was a mistake," Faruqui said of the case.
