Well done if you're pinning all this on the players btw. Carrick and the club started this in the PR presser last Friday. Pin it on the players and absolve the real issues from any blame. Scary how they spin the fanbase every time. 8pm show we'll blow the doors off this
For the first time, the Manchester United board has made a decision that makes common sense regarding Michael Carrick’s position.
I’m not convinced by Carrick, but he cannot be the only scapegoat for Manchester United’s poor performances. The board, especially Wilcox, and the players must also take their fair share of the blame.
Giving Carrick time could help break the culture of player power and shine a spotlight on those who have consistently underperformed. Accountability must go beyond the manager.
Now, there is nowhere left to hide. This is the new reality at Manchester United.

Sticking with Carrick after what we saw against Como and at Old Trafford on Sunday, likewise what’s happening within the club currently, is a huge sign that INEOS is here to finish this club.
They’re more concerned about the cost of sacking him four months into a two-year deal than the damage being done by keeping him.
SHITHOLE. That’s INEOS. 🤡
The way this board is treating Michael Carrick right now is genuinely disgraceful.
Michael Carrick is a Manchester United legend. He served this club with distinction, won everything in the game, and stepped up when asked.
To leave him hanging in total limbo, sending him out to face the media and line up against Chelsea after an 8-game winless run; is pure cowardice from the hierarchy.
They are using his goodwill with the matchday fans as a human shield. They are delaying the hard decision simply because they don't have their own duck in a row. They are destroying his managerial reputation to cover for their own poor squad planning and recruitment mistakes.
The fans applauded Carrick against Bournemouth because they respect the man.
But waiting for the atmosphere to turn completely toxic before acting isn't protecting him, it's sacrificing him to buy time.
If you’re going to make a change, do it with class and let a club icon walk away with his head held high.
Stop leaving him out to dry. 🎯
People don’t realise how big a loss Casemiro is. A grounded leader who bought into Carrick & actually fought for the badge. Right now, there’s zero accountability in that dressing room - just big egos. I miss him.
Let me guess. The movie will play out like this:
After getting battered by Chelsea again on Saturday:
-Michael Carrick will shed crocodile tears on the touchline.
-The matchgoing fans will applaud him for getting battered.
-They will sing his praises and tell him he’s not at fault.
-They will boo the players and even throw stuff at them.
-At the post-match interview, Michael Carrick will say we are going to improve, and he will hold the umbrella for others to get dry while he gets wet, and make other Shakespearean analogies.
-There will be tension in the air.
-Michael Carrick will give the team a break the following morning.
-A couple of days before the next game, he will call for team training.
Wilcox will drive his “Defender” to the team training and act like a serious person in training.
-They will call for a team meeting and circulate the news that Carrick is about to get sacked.
-Then they will give him until the Aston Villa match before they make a final decision.
-Aston Villa will batter us, and the cycle continues.
Our owners derive pleasure and joy from seeing us suffer😭.
