Actual dating/going out to get to know each other is for extroverts.
Most introverts find someone they like, start building a connection with that person, and then eventually commit to them. Meaning, their first date is typically when they're already a couple or it's locked in that night.
Introverts are super (READ: EXTRA) observant and refuse to waste their time on even a friend date, if they know it won't serve them in any genuinely fulfilling way.
Usually, introverts don't need to introduce their partners to friends or get confirmation from family. And their family typically doesn't meet that person until months, sometimes years later.
Dating as an introvert means when you find the right person, you actually become an extrovert around them.
That's how you know it's real.
Guilt: I fucked up.
Shame: I’m fucked up.
Reassurance: We all fuck up sometimes.
Reframe: Fuckups are an opportunity to improve.
Dialectic: I fucked up and I’m still learning.
Empowerment: When I fuck up there’s ways I can respond.
Accountability: I’m sorting out my fuckup.
my intention for today is to lean into this softness and vulnerability i’m feeling at this moment and see what’s there. i’m thankful for trusting myself to do so.
Now I don’t reach out to people, I don’t try mend things, I don’t even bother communicating how I feel.
My friend yesterday bugged out and blocked her friend from anger, the person ended up reaching out within a couple hours to rectify the miscommunication and I realised how
I used to be someone who communicated so clearly, openly and effectively. Vulnerability came so easy to me, I wouldn’t understand an avoidant personality type but after dealing w friends/lovers who shut down/shut you out when they’re upset, I became avoidant overtime too.
The devil wants your mouth closed so he can tempt & taunt you in secret. He wants you alone.
There’s power in opening your mouth & being real with God about how you feel. Leave your pretty church testimony at church. Be transparent with God & trusted brothers/sisters in Christ.
