The media's obvious desire to drive a wedge between Trump and Fauci is idiotic and dangerous. No matter how much you hate Trump, if you like the country, you should be rooting for Trump to listen to Fauci rather than trying to foster division.
@the_real_pete_s@DanBartels2 Oh I was talking about Pete Alonso the guy who Mets fans are still somehow crying about in August. The guy is set to make $33M a year for his age 32-35 seasons. Smart contract for Baltimore who looks like they are rebuilding. Is he even a top 10 1B this season?
@nickythegood I get hating sterns. But some people just go waaaay too over the top even discrediting everything he did with the Brewers. Turang, chorio, mizorowski all drafted when sterns was in charge. That’s not even mentioning trading for Adames and yelich etc.
@j_nucero@FixYourLife@draftniks Agreed do you think Pete’s gonna put up 35-40 homers and 110-120 rbi in his 31-35 seasons I don’t. He’s not on pace for that right now year 1.
@bigdog44K@draftniks 100% agree there. Entirely too much time is spent litigating Pete Alonso. He would make very little difference this season. Sterns blew the pitching staff again. Lindor and Soto both missed a ton of time. There’s the season.
@bigdog44K@draftniks Sal Perez is barely hitting .200. Like 90% of first baseman tail off in their 30s. Why you would be sooooo attached to giving Pete a contract where it’s his 31-35 seasons blows my mind. Like fine. but to act like it’s malpractice by sterns to not want that contract is wild
@bigdog44K@draftniks Okay that’s fair. But youre acting like 32-35 year old pete is a lock solution at first base. 31 year old Pete Alonso isn’t 30 year old Pete Alonso number wise. He’s on pace to pretty much go 30 homers 100rbi flat. That’s underwhelming for the highest paid 1B in the league
@bigdog44K@draftniks You’re right there is no way to know. Could be 1 game could be 3 games could be 5… do you actually think he’s making up 25-30 games or something? 😭
@draftniks Nice burn man. Sorry Steve Cohen******** didn’t think it was worth it to over pay a first baseman to take his team from 18 games under to 15 games under. Sorry if Pete was your favorite player but sometimes your favorite players leave your team. You gotta grow up and get over it
