@philipnolan1@TheCulinaryLens Exactly...and Moran/Mor-ann, Mahoney/MaHOEney...you could go on and on. And so many Irish surnames used as first names.nothing wrong with any of it of course.
@TheCulinaryLens@philipnolan1 Gallagher is universally pronounced with a hard middle G in the US. Eventually, Irish born Gallaghers just go along with it. Also Cahills being Cay-hill, McGraths having the th pronounced, etc.
@carolkav81 So sorry your mind takes you to these dark places. From your various postings here, you sound like a wonderful person, daughter, friend and employee. Every good wish for the future.
@philipnolan1 Keep them coming. The only thing better than reading about them would be eating them! Plus we missed them during your recuperation period, so technically you have some to make up!
@philipnolan1 I miss living in Ireland even after 34 years of living in the US. I 100% do not miss the weather though. The warm weather has just moved into Chicago and should be with us in one form or another until well into September. My sister in Dublin has her fire lit.
@ajplus@jvplive That poor boy and his grieving family. Those settlers are cruel, heartless people, who delight in their cruelty. They all seem to lack a shred of humanity, to the extent you'd have to wonder if it's genetic.
@philipnolan1 There's a man whose life really meant something and was of singular benefit to the world. A privilege to have him on planet earth for 100 years.
