I have met Rt. Hon deputy speaker of parliement( @Thomas_Tayebwa ) at his office in parliament once.

It’s was one of those days where I wake up and storm parliament, not invited and I engage MPs randomly on tourism matters.

Whenever I get an elected leader anywhere, I will engage and it’s up to them to either push or not. Same stuff you read on X.

That day he was meeting the ambassador of China at his offices, told him, bwana we need to discuss tourism matters.

I started doing that the days of Hon @RebeccaKadagaUG, she was always gracious. She would listen and where possible act.

Hon @Thomas_Tayebwa says he has followed my write ups since my days of Facebook. Makes it easy.

Every time I have met him on the streets or restaurants, I would stop him and engage on matters of tourism. He would sometimes just shake his head.

Once told him, listen to me talking tourism is good for uganda, I am simply saying let’s bring consumers of our products.

Investing in tourism is investing in all other sectors because they directly or indirectly benefit from tourism. It’s human beings with money to spend and we need money.

He has quietly helped pushed for increased marketing budgets and other tourism related matters.

He recently told me, I actually believe what you say about tourism, he said, I had a foreign visitor who also broke down how tourism boosts economies and I thought about you.

We are 45.9m or 50m, we all can push different topics consistently. You pay attention to one topic and push, push until something happens.

You also have to show them practically that you know what you are talking about.
