Los Angeles Lakers star Austin Reaves intends to sign a four-year, $185 million maximum contract to return to the franchise, with a player option for the final season in 2029-30, sources tell ESPN. Reaves declined his $14.9M player option for the new max deal.
Kids leaving High School practice early to go to AAU practice in June is a bit different to me. AAU for high schoolers should be on pause for the month of June. If you don't take high school serious then don't expect high school to take you serious.
Leadership isn't complicated.
GREAT Leaders don't...
🚫 show up late
🚫 blame others
🚫 complain
🚫 put others down
GREAT Leaders do...
💯 show up early
💯 take responsibility
💯 find solutions
💯 encourage others
Nick Saban said, "To be a good player on your team, you have to affect someone else on the team. You have to cause them to play better by the way you play."
The best players make their teammates better.
How do you make your teammates better?
Teachers, if someone tells you how “lucky” you are to have summers off, remind them they don’t have to be jealous.
America is currently short more than 400,000 teachers.
They can become a teacher too.
PARENTS: Don't build your happiness around your kid’s athletic performance. If you get in a bad mood because they played bad, take a break from the game. Your kid needs to have tough performances to learn, not have great performances to make you feel good.

Things that will kill your team:
-Zero Standards
-Zero Leaders
-Zero Trust
And...
-Tons of Gossip
-Tons of Selfishness
-Tons of Blame

Hard truth:
Schools cannot fully overcome poor parenting.
Teachers are burning out trying to do the jobs of educator, counselor, disciplinarian, and parent all at once.
At some point, accountability has to return to the home.
As an AD, I want all of our coaches to know you are not alone. The parents who are usually the quickest to get upset and complain are often the same ones who did not show up to the preseason parent meeting. Communication matters, and many frustrations can be avoided when expectations are clearly set from the beginning.
There should be a teacher on every school board…
and at every table where education decisions are made.
Because right now, we’re making policies for classrooms
without the people who actually live in them.
You wouldn’t design a hospital system without doctors.
You wouldn’t build a plane without pilots.
But in education…
we leave teachers out of the room
The 10 Truths Parents Rarely See

3. Playing time is complex.
4. Culture matters more than stats.
5. Accountability is care.
6. Coaches invest emotionally.
7. Development isn’t instant.
8. Hard feedback is intentional.
9. Wins don’t tell the whole story.
10. Coaches remember kids forever.
Perspective matters.
"Athletes who claim that they are dedicated and committed to their team, but at the same time, complain about their lack of playing time or talk negatively about teammates behind their back, may not be as dedicated & committed to their team as they think they are." -- Ralph Pim
Hearing all these HS coaches getting forced out by parents makes me wonder how long before HS sports are intramural’s? Everyone will just play travel sports.
