@NBA your officials are incredibly inconsistent within games, let alone the whole season. No fan knows what a foul is or isn’t. Announcers also can’t effectively call games. What will you do about it?
Luke Fickell: "Well, that’s as low as it can be. I apologize. I apologized to our guys. To not be ready, to not have them ready, I’m dumbfounded in a lot of ways. But that’s my job."
With the #Vikings down 17-6 in the third quarter, J.J. McCarthy said to teammates in the huddle, “Where would you rather be?”
McCarthy said he’d never said that to teammates before. “It juiced us up,” Justin Jefferson said. “He never gave up. That was the big thing about it.”
Lesson to be learned in week one: don’t get too high or too low. Give a first time starter more than a couple quarters of grace behind a retooled OL with a missing starting LT some grace.
That said, Vikings Super Bowl 20-0
After three fourth-quarter touchdowns, the last one being a 14-yard TD run from J.J. McCarthy, the #Vikings will win 27-24 to beat the Bears on Monday night.
Following his pick-6, McCarthy was 8 of 11 for 95 yards and two touchdowns, while running for a third.
Next up: Home opener Sunday night against Atlanta.
