This trend seems to have started recently and kinda out of nowhere.
Anyway I don't think crying as a reaction to some twisted or witty humor or over little things is normal, or even justified. Seems undignified.
I don't think that's completely true, I learned both types of English in school with teachers who came from both places. I had one who came from England and another who came from Texas for instance.
This place has a cycle of outrageous posting with the shocked reactions that accompany it, and the same talking points argued over.
It was to be expected when I signed up here given the reputation this site has accumulated over the years, not that I find partaking in worth it.

We havenโt gone a week without those people melting down over a character design, a joke, or convincing themselves they found racism, sexism, or some other form of bigotry where none was intended, an insane level of sensitivity.
And trying to spin it around on the โanti-wokeโ people who complain about videogames being poisoned with ideological messaging doesnโt change that. Youโre still the ones constantly looking for reasons to be offended and turning entertainment into a political battleground
