I mentioned the use of Thinking Maps in my #FRIT7234Summer23 discussion post involving abstraction and decomposition. This is along the same lines. I didn't know they were also referred to as mind maps. Neat!

@AlainaKhan75 Yes! I would definitely second that. I think I mentioned in my discussion that I printed out the instructions and went line by line and it took me longer than I would like to admit before I caught on to the coding protocol. Teaching old dogs new tricks! 🐶

I'm learning about abstraction and decomposition in my #FRIT7234Summer23 and I've realized just how much we take for granted when it comes to the behind the scenes components of technology. It's easy to forget the ingenuity behind the ease of a button press.

If anyone needs to entertain their kiddos this summer, here’s a computer literacy task! Teach them to debug bad block coding and relate it to problems they may have in real life and how to solve those as well!!

@AlliSunJoGSU I teach kindergarten and after pondering on it, pretty much our whole day consists of algorithms! We are encoding proper school protocols. I just haven't ever thought of it from this angle before.
