We are wrapping up our summer classes this week. I created a lesson plan where students program stories with Scratch using dialogue. Students will extend their learning by writing the story in their journal focusing on dialogue. #FRIT7234Summer23
Can one successfully integrate Computational Thinking into separate class lesson plans? Absolutely, it just might look a little different for each student. #FRIT7234Summer23
This class was very informative on ways to use Computer Science materials in the classroom. Hopefully, I am able to incorporate this in my class next school year. #FRIT7234Summer23
In #FRIT7234Summer23 this week we are learning about how patterns can be used with instruction. Pattern really are everywhere, and I think they can help Crete a more efficient and comfortable classroom!
Decomposition is something that comes natural when teaching young students. As a teacher I am constantly breaking down math problems, assignment directions, and rules and procedures into smaller step by step task to make it simpler to understand.
This week in #FRIT7234Summer23 we learned about algorithms!
Algorithm for creating the best weekend!
1. Get your family together.
2. Grab some comfy blankets.
3. Pop some popcorn.
4. Make a fort.
5. Pick a movie.
6. Relax and enjoy everyone together!
Debugging is the process of identifying and removing errors from computer hardware or software. Debugging is something we also do when fix errors in instruction. When we guide our students in the classroom to fix errors they ware practicing debugging. #FRIT7234Summer23
I've really enjoyed putting together an infographic to visually represent an algorithm. I chose a social-emotional topic due to the specific need in my classroom. #FRIT7234Summer23
