@adultnumeracy1 The best art show ever! Each unique project is captivating and the stories that wove the threads of the projects compelling. Many thanks for the inspiration.
@hvraen Thank you @hvraen for sharing a hanger diagram from yesterday's #NJALL webinar! Wonderful to have so many folks participate in sketching a diagram.
@eappleton Thanks for sharing your hanger diagram. I wonder if there is another hanger diagram that would represent
6x + 4 = 3x + 10? I wonder what student diagrams would look like?
@eappleton Thank you, Eric, for letting me sit in on your Zoom class so I could see how students respond to hanger diagrams! I loved being able to share that with folks at the #NJALL webinr.
@mayaayazi Thank you, Maryam, for attending the NJALL session today and for posting this hanger diagram. I'm wondering if folks can generate an equation based on this diagram?
Super excited to find a fun challenge task to start class with tomorrow and low and behold it is an #EMPower and @CollectEdNY lesson!
So grateful to have Numeracy lessons designed for my #adultedu Ss. Can't wait to see how this leads us to some functions! :)
@mtrushkowsky@PaulaKrieg Also dumped on this road: a mattress, weight bench w/set of weights, bagssss of garbage, tiresss, a toilet and worse yet - puppies, kittens, and dogs. I checked today and it’s more like 2/10 mile.
@mtrushkowsky@PaulaKrieg I live on a back country rd and whilst walking the other day, I counted 30 cans/bottles on the side of a 1/10 mile stretch of road. Fast food wrappings as well (didn’t count). Secluded area. I guess they think it’s ok to toss out the car window cause no houses are there?
