I think many GenZ folks are seeing, for the first time, the horrors of the American empire. Except — it’s being live-streamed straight to their phones. Media that denies what’s happening will simply lose them. There’s no going back from this.
Study finds that a select anti-meat cartel at the University of Oxford continues to misinform the public about the actual causes of modern climate change, which is reductionist versus holistic management, vastly overestimates the GHG impact of livestock at 15% (by including, for example, the transportation footprint of the industry which isn’t done for other sectors. The actual contribution - widely cited - is about 4%), and continues to conflate deleterious with regenerative forms of food production of all sorts, cropping and grazing. Consistent with this bias, the Oxford study, of course, also fails to mention any of the dozens of peer-reviewed papers which document the benefits to soil and climate of grazing that is regenerative. Fortunately, people aren’t going to be fooled by Oxford, they aren’t going to stop eating meat, and they aren’t going to ignore the obvious health and experimental benefits of grassfed meat nor the science of its efficacy. Oxford is just embarrassing itself and becoming irrelevant. A compendium of peer-reviewed science on the matter is linked here. Thank you. https://t.co/L8kV2iqNIs

@31r1kur@Stonekettle Heck, you can set up your own Mastodon server -- or pay someone to run an instance for you, lots of folks do that -- and let anyone federate with you who wants to. (And I *am* on Mastodon -- pretty sure you'd be FINE with https://t.co/4uyYR5W9Ea moderation policies.)
Though they initially tried to have me removed from the public seating area, I am here working on behalf of my constituents as best I can given the undemocratic circumstances.
I'm talking to legislators, listening to debate, voting on bills, and fighting for democracy.
Take a look at LCOE cost comparison.
Renewables vastly more cost effective than nuclear.
Renewable Evolution is here.
We just don't have the resources or the time for nuclear.

@boboli_bob @MinnesotaDFL@peggyflanagan Because sugar and carbs are the cheapest food -- if you've only got a few bucks for food.
People wind up filling up on potato chips because they can't afford anything else.
So you wind up fat -- but with all kinds of deficiencies, because nutritious food costs $$$.
When my Republican detractors call me “woke” for sharing Native history, it only determines me to provide you every single shred of Indigenous content — that I possibly can.
Three fucking years of constant vigilance. Being the total downer of the family. My kid caved to peer pressure to not wear masks and tested positive this morning. We’ve all been exposed. I am so angry I can’t see straight.🤬🤬🤬🤬 Pray for me, fam😭😭😭
We could have used this pandemic to level inequality, clean the air, reduce viral illness & death, make work more accessible. Instead we are using it to push privatized healthcare
BREAKING: New reports show that after Hillary Clinton left office she allowed an aide to copy classified emails to an unsecured random laptop & refused to turn additional classified docs over to the FBI.
Now that I got Republicans’ attention. That was actually Donald Trump.
Reading interviews with people in East Palestine, Ohio where the train derailed is so heartbreaking and insane. People are like "all my pets died" but then they're being told to move back into their houses.
Wow—unprecedented bravery, and fury, from @CollegeBoard: "We deeply regret not immediately denouncing FDOE's slander. … We have made the mistake of treating FDOE with…courtesy…but they have instead exploited this courtesy for their political agenda. " https://t.co/cZpJ8ICXLx
