@twolly11 My bus to my retail restock night job in 2005 was an hour and a half transit. I used it to read.

I was offered a promotion to a supervisor role in the tech department. I spent the 3 hours a day to read the A+ certification book.

It served me well.

@it_unprofession Lol. A lot smarter than what I did. I must not have wanted to work for a particular company anymore because I spent time implementing the easiest system possible, documenting how it works, just to be laid off a month later.

First thing they asked: " what are your pronouns?"

It sounded stupid to me. I hesitated. My enthusiasm for the job went away. Not the culture for me.

@KohutAlex I don't think measles ever went away. My kids for rashes, that came with fever and illness and when taken to the doctor, he described it as "something viral, like measles". Then he recommended a painkiller and sent us home.

@freyafirst The transgender conflict caused the Mom's group (that helped me raise my kids) to completely implode. All the sudden men were allowed - and about half of the group was not comfortable with it any longer.
