@ReubenR80027912 In reality, it’s like 4 dudes and they just fly in every farm trade group. You literally get 10 sugar beet farmers from MN in Macy’s tie shirt combos asking you to block Mexican sugar.
@EricRSammons I think they wanted DC to have a White Conservative Auxiliary to do the fundraising that McElroy can’t/wont do. +Menjivar-Ayala is the more ready of the two Hispanic Auxiliary bishops so he got bumped up.
@xpstudiosp @t0bitsdog @EJdc DC and the American church as a whole have very few AA priests. As one of the only AA priests and a guy who has a Harvard Law degree, Boxie was going to be a Bishop from the moment he entered seminary
@WalkingHymnal Honestly if the Pope brings back the fundraising thing, he would be a great fit to lead that. Make him a Bishop and have him travel the world raising money
@Fiona__CL @CatholicSmark@RorateCaeli@jr_fee@hf_222222 Unfortunately I think his personal friendship has him in a bit of denial. I was on a sales call with him over the summer when all this first started and he seemed to think it was just a small group making problems for +Martin. No idea if the new stuff has changed his mind
@WalkingHymnal@cath_menarion Ya they take the difference. Also if you go over your goal you don’t get to keep all the extra, but you do get some of it back
@JohanRuiterRui1@N_A_Scotty@JLLiedl Interestingly something like 35% of bishops will reach retirement age in the next 5 years. Not counting new Auxiliaries
