I think the OP here does understand that and is just choosing to be culturally prescriptive about how Christians should see their own faith. I'm not sure if any faith does do that, though. Maybe Islam, but most religions venerate scripture per se less than we do!

A lot of nones have interesting ideas of what Christianity considers sacred. It varies heavily between denominations, but I don't know of any Christian who thinks things that merely reference scripture are sacred.
