This week I gave my mom the reflection I created a few weeks ago. We thought back to all the platforms she learned to use over the past 8 weeks. She liked learning how to shop online the most because she can see herself using it in the near future. @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

This week, my mom had gotten a gift delivered from her boss. So she asked to help her find a store that can deliver flowers remotely as a thank you! We found one shop, and using the skills she learned in the past, successfully placed an order! #letsteachadults @YEPeducation

This will be the evaluation sheet I plan on giving my learner. I hope by her filling it out, I can reflect on my approach and build upon it in the future. @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

@celnov25 @YEPeducation Yep, we covered the basic search features and even placed an order! She still has to get used to to intricacies, like filtering based on reviews or stars, but that'll come with time I think.

This week I introduced my mom to online shopping! I started by helping her create an Amazon account and getting used to the interface. She felt a little uneasy giving her banking information, so next week I might help her make a PayPal account. #letsteachadults @YEPeducation

@julialucasxx that sounds like a great way to learn more about your grandma and what type of music she likes. Might even be a chance for her to revisit some tunes from when she was growing up. Cool idea!

This week my mom is recovering from a surgery so I decided to help her with setting up an automated response to her work email. This was little hard because her company uses a special email provider, so I had to teach myself before helping her! @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

This week, I decided to take a page out of what we learned during our weekly YEP meetings, so I created a handout to aide my mom with depositing cheques on the TD mobile app. We used it during our lesson and it worked out well! @YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults

@celnov25 @YEPeducation After we cover all the Smart TV features, I plan on moving to teaching her how to shop online. Generally, I just want to teach her things she can use on an often/semi often basis.

This week we continued with the Smart TV. I walked my mom through the intricacies of Netflix, which included showing her how to add stuff to her own list. She was really excited to give it a try and plans on having a movie night this weekend! #LetsTeachAdults @YEPeducation
