During the filming of The Passion of the Christ, Jim Caviezel (playing Jesus) lost 45 pounds, was struck by lightning, accidentally scourged with a whip twice, leaving a 14-inch scar, had his shoulder dislocated, and suffered from pneumonia and hypothermia from hanging mostly naked on a cross for several hours outside.
His body was so stressed and exhausted from playing the role that he had to have 2 open heart surgeries after the production! The crucifixion scene alone took 5 weeks of the 2-month filming time.
The Passion of the Christ is the highest-grossing rated-R movie in the US, of all time, at $370.8M! Worldwide it grossed $611M. Most importantly, it reached many souls around the world. Mel Gibson paid $30M out of his own pocket for the production because no studio would take on the project, and Jim Caviezel was warned not to take the role of Jesus because it would ruin his career.
If they went through that much just to make a movie, think about how much Jesus went through just so we could be in Heaven with him someday. There’s nothing Jesus wouldn’t do to have a personal relationship with you. He loves you so much!
Today, think about the extent Jesus went for you, just you. He lost so we could gain. That is a surrendered life.🫶
As we remember His death, His excess love and great sacrifice. Let's choose love and sacrifice for GOD AND OTHERS
'My 3 year old son 😭
I was busy in the kitchen while he was playing in the living room. Suddenly, a piercing scream rang out.
I ran to him & was paralyzed with fear after seeing a reddish liquid leaking from his mouth while he was sobbing. He looked like he was in deep pain and, even worse, he was struggling to breathe. Panic set in.
Without a second thought, I grabbed him & rushed to the closest hospital. I called his father afterward, & he joined us there later that evening. My poor baby was immediately placed on oxygen for nearly an hour.
The doctors wouldn't let either of us inside the room. We just waited outside as we were told. Eventually, the doctor emerged & asked to speak privately with my husband in his office. I had to stay behind, trembling with fear. I just knew something was wrong. 'Why would he ask to see only my husband'.
When my husband finally walked out, his eyes were red, watery, & full of grief. He told me we needed to go home.
With a trembling voice I asked 'why' but he was being hesitant to tell, i was scared-curious, after pressuring him to speak, he said, 'we needed to go home & start making arrangements cuz we had lost our son 10 mins ago, said as he held my shoulder, trying to keep me calm.
I shouted that it was impossible!
"Not my little boy, not my son!".
I lost all composure & burst into the ward. I grabbed my child, held him tight against my chest, and collapsed to the floor. I beaded God to let him breathe again. For over five minutes, I sobbed and pleaded for mercy. I kept screaming, "Jesus, you gave me this boy after 6 years of waiting; Father, please do not take him back now!"
The doctor and my husband just stood there, watching me with total pity, trying to get me to calm down. But then, I felt it my baby's body actually moved. The doctor saw it too! He quickly took him from my arms, put the oxygen back on, and started checking him again and again. I prayed silently without stopping. My husband just stood there in total shock, gripping my hand and hoping for a miracle.
To cut a long story short, we have been discharged! And my child is here at home totally fine, healthy, and playing as if nothing ever happened.
Honestly, I am a witness that God is real. Please, you just have to help me thank Him! I am beyond grateful, Father.

Quite respectfully, saying “God has a tattoo” is very disappointing and terribly uninformed from someone who should ordinarily know better. Let us explain this a little bit for those who don’t know.
Not many people know this:
But there is a concept called anthropomorphism where humans attributes are used in figurative language for God as a poetic way to describe God in a way that is comprehensible for us as humans.
This is why Is49:16 does NOT mean God has a tattoo. It is a figurative expression meaning God will never forget His people (because they are forever engraved in His palms).
There are so many figurative terms in the Bible where God uses many figurative expressions to describe himself and his care for his people.
I will share more examples:
1. Zec2:8, Ps17:8 refer to God’s people as the “Apple of His eyes”. Does that mean God has literal Apple 🍏 in his eyes? Or rather the Apple of his eyes is a figurative expression meaning God’s people are super special to Him.
2. Rev5:5 refer to Jesus as the “Lion of the Tribe of Judah”. Does this mean Jesus is a literal lion 🦁 in the family line of Judah? Or rather the “lion” is a figurative expression of the power and strength he has.
3. In the same Rev5:5, Jesus is also referred to as the “Root of David”, does this mean David is a mango tree and Jesus is a literal root of a tree???? 😂
4. Read Mat23:37, Luk13:34
Does this mean Jesus is a hen? 😂
5. Ps91:4, Ps57:1 David said he will take refuge in the “wings” of God. Does this mean God is a bird 🦅 or a plane ✈️??? 😂 Or rather the use of wings refer to a figurative expression of God’s ability to cover and protect his children just like a bird will protect its little chicks.
These are just 5 random examples of human figurative expressions used for God to describe a certain attribute of Him so that as human beings we can understand Him. The technical term for this is anthropomorphism.
I personally don’t care for this whole tattoo debate. Anybody can get a tattoo if they wish to. Some of us don’t care either way. But to say you got a tattoo (as a pastor) because Is49 says God has a tattoo is a mischievous injury to Bible interpretation and it’s quite simply an uninformed thing to say.
I have just shown in Ps57:1 and Ps91:4 that God has “wings”. Will you go and get wings too to attach to your back and take a picture of you hanging from a tree (because “God has wings”)? 😂
The use of anthropomorphic language for God is basic kindergarten Bible knowledge. It’s a painful shame that a pastor will twist something this basic in the Bible to make a zero point just to defend his personal vain pleasures.
I expect some blind sycophants to gather under this tweet and start wailing as usual- rather than learn one or two things- but again in a country full of the blind leading the blind, I won’t be surprised.
