There are moments when life tests a person's strength beyond what most of us can imagine.

My friend, @rwamu_ had just completed his law degree when he suffered a stroke. Many feared the worst. Some thought his dreams had come to an end. But through pain, uncertainty, and years of recovery, he has remained remarkably strong, determined, and hopeful.

Today, there is a smile on his face again. There is progress. There is hope.
When the call came , all of us that knew this fine legal brain, kindred spirit set in.
I want to sincerely thank the friends let by @SilverKayondo , classmates, and well-wishers who have stood by him. Because of your generosity, land for a wheelchair-accessible home wss purchased in Manyangwa, Gayaza, and the title successfully transferred.

Now comes the next step: building the home.

For Mwene, this is more than a house. It is dignity. It is accessibility. It is independence. It is a place from which he can continue his recovery journey in safety and comfort.

I am in #Uganda, where the government has mounted a prompt and capable response to the outbreak of #Ebola.

Screening at the borders helped detect cases arriving from neighbouring #DRC, and the country’s surveillance, testing and case management systems are doing steady work. Of the 19 confirmed cases so far, 14 were among people who entered from DRC and five are Ugandan nationals. Sadly, two people from DRC have died, and our thoughts are with their families.

@WHO is supporting Uganda, alongside @AfricaCDC and partners across the region, as the country leads this response.

With continued collaboration, I am confident this outbreak can be brought under control.

@FoxNews The American Doctor was in the DRC which is the country west of Uganda. He did not treat any ebola patients in Uganda. There is currently no outbreak on Ugandan territory. Please make this clarification.

Yesterday night when I was traveling from Bundibugyoto Kampala , in Fort Portal I met a man everyone calls Mr. Coffee, at the @link_buses tunnel and his hustle really inspired me.
He doesn’t roast or grind the coffee he simply packs the kiboko in small 10g bundles using banana fiber, the traditional way.

A kilo of kiboko would normally give him about 7,000 UGX, but by breaking it down into small packs and selling each at 500 UGX, that same kilo now earns him about 25,000 UGX.
No machines, no factory just creativity, consistency, and a smart way of increasing value.

I bought some from him, not because I needed coffee, but because I wanted to support the effort and the mindset.
People like Mr. Coffee remind us that value addition isn’t only about big factories sometimes it’s simply about presentation, packaging, and understanding what the market wants.

His story is a quiet reminder that small steps can completely change the income of a farmer.

My heart was broken yesterday when I received a 15 year old boy born with cataracts.

Yes, we operated on him and yes he can see now, but I’m disappointed at the parents.

Why would they deny a young boy like that the gift of Vision for 15 good years? Why? 😭😭😭

I have refused to believe that for 15 years his parents never heard of something called cataract surgery. I have totally refused.

They have stolen 15 years of life from this boy. This boy couldn’t start school because he was blind. I’m angry.

The morning after surgery, I just stood at a distance, looked intently at him and I could see him looking straight back at me. To confirm that he could see, I waved at him and he waved back. That was enough to put a smile on my face.

As for the parents, I’m disappointed.

@BuniChristopher My subaru legacy usually indicates 450km or more on full tank at fueling. But once I hit the highway, it usually indicates north of 520km.
