The English people? Replaced? I don’t think so.

I think you might’ve forgotten who we are. We’re the people who watched a thousand Spanish sails approach our shores and sent them burning into the night. The people who faced the full might of the Luftwaffe—one of the greatest air assaults in human history—and emerged victorious. We endured more than 250 years of Viking raids. Six of our seven kingdoms fell. Yet all it took was one man’s plan and the will of his people to make a final stand in defence of this great land, and what once seemed impossible became reality.

Now fast-forward to the modern day. We have a military that has exercised restraint for far too long, cutting-edge technology itching to be deployed, and intelligence services capable of monitoring threats on a global scale. Mobilisation and total annihilation wouldn’t take long against a force that lacks training, discipline, and logistics.

Then there’s the general public, who have also exercised restraint for far too long. Dissatisfaction with the status quo is growing by the day. People are increasingly questioning the direction of the country. Many are finding the confidence to speak their minds, some are beginning to adopt nationalist ideas and becoming radicalised by the injustices they see. You know what they say: “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

To top it all off, there are allies across the world. Some are facing similar political and social challenges. Others have already navigated periods of upheaval, and many are as well-equipped as we are. Some even more so.

What have you got?

You’re arriving with nothing. You sleep in tents, eat pigeons, marry your relatives, and somehow think you’re going to take over.

You really are as thick as two short planks.

You broke into our house and seem to think we’re locked in here with you.

Well, you couldn’t be more wrong.

You’re locked in here with us.

This is England. We don’t take too kindly to barbaric invaders.

And in case you forgot, this is an island nation. You’ve got nowhere to run.
