We deserve a leader who’s ready to meet this moment, for our country and our communities.
I’m Patrick Roath and I’m running for Congress to fight for what matters.
🚨NEXT CANDIDATE FORUM ON DECK! 🚨
The next MA-08 candidate forum will be on June 11. I am thrilled to officially accept the West End Civic Association's invitation, and am looking forward to it!
@RepStephenLynch@RepLynch will you be there?
In our June cover package, writer and Quincy native Joe Keohane asks the hard questions: If droves of visitors are coming here, what are we actually showing them? Click the link for everything you need to know. https://t.co/cBmwxVRbm9
HAPPY PRIDE!
I was honored to stand with town leaders and advocates in Braintree this morning for the raising of the Pride flag!
This month, you’ll see us across the district, showing up in solidarity with the queer community and pushing for stronger LGBTQIA+ protections!

The answer to our educational challenges will be found in Hattiesburg, MS, not Harvard, MA. In Mississippi, by adopting phonics-based reading, retraining teachers, and high standards for the students, Mississippi went from 49th to 9th in reading scores.

Had such a fun time this afternoon at PolishFest! Great to join everyone honoring and celebrating the rich heritage and contributions of Polish Americans in the Dorchester community.
Had such a great time at the MassDems convention today! Great seeing so many friends and getting fired up about all the great candidates we have running up and down the ballot!
Here’s a problem that could have been solved by someone having the backbone to tell the President that setting off a mid-cycle redistricting arms race is a really really bad stupid idea
Jean-Paul LaPierre, a 54-year-old boxer and marathon runner from Weymouth, Massachusetts (Boston area), was riding a CTA Blue Line train in Chicago heading to the marathon.
He stepped off, learned a man was robbing passengers at gunpoint, went back aboard, confronted the robber, grappled with him, disarmed the gun, and held him against the train wall until police arrived.
In the video, LaPierre says, “That kinda made me mad” and “I’m a boxer. I’ll break your head in one punch.” He later added, “It matters to me.”
The robber, Tremaine Anderson (30, with prior record), was arrested and charged with armed robbery.
LaPierre then ran the Chicago Marathon (his 12th) and later received a Carnegie Hero Medal for his bravery.
I saw chaos inside and outside of the ICE detention center Delaney Hall today. Detainees protesting the lack of due process, the disgusting food and poor treatment while their families and advocates stood outside calling for help. Instead of engaging with me and others about the poor conditions, ICE sent in an armored vehicle and a line of armed agents that only poured gasoline on the fire. Civilians were tackled and restrained, and agents fired pepper balls and spray into the crowd. This is more of the same lawlessness we’ve seen elsewhere around the country. Our country deserves accountability. Our country deserves the humane treatment of every person here. In fact, our Constitution demands this. What I witnessed and experienced today was shameful. Delaney Hall is a failure; it’s this administration’s failure. The only way to make this right for our communities is to shut it down and make sure the failures we’ve seen never happen again.
I am so proud of Massachusetts for being the first state to officially recognize a ride-share driver union!
A huge advance for workers, and the product of years of tireless work for organizers and workers. Awesome stuff.
Ride-share drivers for app-based companies such as Uber and Lyft have unionized in Massachusetts, forming what state officials and labor leaders said was the first officially recognized organization in the U.S. to represent such gig workers. https://t.co/SbOSQNCIZY
